I think if you are level 30 so you add all your left space with decorations and improve your wood and stone buildings.
They take a lot of resources.
Also you should upgrade all your market to level 5 as you will need to have your outposts giving the main castle to research non stop.
Last time,I remember that you will have to do the vet defenders before you unlock attackers.

Defenders on one side, attackers on the other side

You can unlock
The Veteran Spearman or the Veteran Maceman

If you unlock the V. Maceman you can unlock the V. Crossbow
If you unlock the V. Spearman you can unlock the V. Bowman
