As the title says, can I re-name my outposts and if yes how?

Yes you can but it will cost 2500 rubies. To change the name first click on the wooden box below your screen. After that click on the red/yellow chair. Then click on the paper with the feather and rubie next to the name of your outpost.

you can also get a premium account and get unlimited renaming for 0 rubies (among other things)

By paying, just like I did. You have the options of 3, 6 and 12 months. Get the 12 month one as it gives you 5 recruitment slots, 18 automatic swordbrothers right away etc. And yes, once you name it, with a premium account, you can change the name 24/7/365, but only for one year.
