Topic: [77453] Number of attackers/attacking force

Quick question- what determines the maximum number of attackers you can use in a battle? Example- I have a small fort in the Arctic World, level 2 walls and towers (8 total towers) and I was attacked by someone using 700+ soldiers. Needless to say I couldn't stop them. If I tried to launch a counter attack, I could only use about 200 soldiers to attack his castle with level 3 walls and towers (12 total towers.)

How is this possible?

First of all, for future reference, it's "Everwinter Glacier" but I do like the name "Arctic World".

Anyway, the max attackers are determined by 2 things:

The level of the defender
The level of the attacker i.e. the number of waves they can send

With 700 soldiers being sent against you, you weren't going to win on the flanks. Next time, put 100% on the weakest flank so you can get a 0% bonus for the keep. I would imagine that you would need some support for this attack.

You said that you could send 200 soldiers. Was that per wave, or overall? Because if that was for one wave, multiply it by however many waves you have, and you will see how many troops you can send.

LOL. I knew it wasn't Arctic World, I just didn't want to flip back to the game to find out. You got the picture, though.

I can send 200+ soldiers per wave. I bet the reason I saw 700+ soldiers is because I had to face 3 waves.

Or possibly 4 waves.

The incoming attack isn't split up into waves. This is on purpose so the defender doesn't too much of an advantage and probably so it doesn't confuse everyone.

I can't post a screen shot of the fight log, but it was a level 53 with 114 soldiers on each flank and 410 soldiers to the gate. If that is not a total of soldiers per wave, then that officially sucks.

I was the one who said about the waves. Of course it was the total soldiers. I even said "the incoming attack isn't split up into waves", meaning that when you see the attack before it hits, the waves aren't shown.

Why can't you post a screenshot? Take one, then paste and crop it in a word document. Save it as a picture. Then create/sign into an account on a website like Imageshack and put the picture on there. Then post the link here or use the insert image button on the bit above where you write your post (third from the right).

Cool. It worked, thanks for the help with that. So now you can see the damage.

Don't double post - edit your first one.

But you're welcome. :)

Next time, put 100% on either the left or the right flank. If you were offline at the time, unlucky - next time move your defensive troops to that outpost/castle and ask for support from the members in your alliance. If you were online at the time, you REALLY need to look at your defensive setup.

I was offline at the time. But if it happens again, I will move all the troops to one side or to the outpost to spare them.

Thanks!
