Will somebody PLEASE EXPLAIN, as a relatively new player, how to acsess things like marauder troops, veteran macemen, ice kingdom, how to build a capitol and where it is located? These are great updates but a fair number of the community are confused about them. Also WHEN WILL SHADOW MERCENARIES COME BACK!??? I wanted to buy some but was barely too late.

All these events are completely random. You will have to wait a while for the shadow mercenaries. Sorry.

Everwinter Glacier (often called "ice" by people who can't be bothered to type the proper name) is available from level 25. Do a search and you should find out lots about it, but basically, it is another world where you build another castle. There is a castle called a "barbarian fortress" (vaguely like a robber baron castle) which is the main source of rubies for many high level players. That's what this thread is talking about.

Marauder troops are available from a new event. You must pay in resources, and receive marauders, loot sacks and loot carts. The loot stuff is available from siege workshop level 2, but the marauders are very special troops who have a very large loot capacity. They are COMPLETELY SEPERATE from the hero in the king's market (but if you don't know about that then forget about this sentence).

Veteran macemen and all other veterans are available from the research tower. It is a building you get at level 39 which helps you improve things - it speeds up your troops and increases food production and stuff like that. You have to pay large amounts of wood and stone to get these advantages. Now, after you have completed some specific researches, you will get the ability to research veteran troops. These will be stronger than any other troops trained in the barracks.

The capital is a new building. Only 2 or 3 spawn in the world map per server. The strongest alliances will capture them and fight over them. Why? Because they give you the ability to train really strong troops in your barracks. They are called kingsguard.

Flames, I know that this must be hard for you to follow, but if you don't know about it, you almost definitely don't need to know about it. If the alchemist comes to your castle, it will explain in-game what you have to do. When you get to level 25, it will explain in-game what you have to do to get into Everwinter Glacier. These things can be found out about, if you really want to know, by doing a search, anyway.
