Topic: [77743] Honor Calculation

Hello everyone, I am sure this question has been asked before, but for some reason I can't find it when I do a search, so maybe not.

Here goes. I know glory points are based on the size of the battle, the type of troops you kill and the banners you send. This I did find during my search even though I already knew that, but here is the thing I have not been able to figure out...

How is the honor calculated??? I know that if you attack someone equal to you you get 100 glory points. but how does the others get calculated? I have tried several formulas and have yet to find any that match the glory I click on a player. is it just random?

great question, but i don't think you need to worry about how honor is calculated, it tells you how many you get if you win before attacking. and if you are close in honor your gain is max, from what i know.

that is what I am trying to figure out... I would like to know a rough Idea what the target will give me before I even click on the attack button... like level difference and honor difference or something so I could scan a player..guess what he may have then click attack or look at a different target.

I know this is not the formula.. but as an example of one I did try

I have 1000, a target has 1000, so attacking him would give me 100 pts
but if I attack a 900 player (10% less then me) the honor is not 90 (10% less).. it is (to me) a totally random #

i think the higher the level the player, the more honor; the more honor the player has the more honor you get
if you attack some one with around your honor and your level you get around 100, but if they are around 10 levels lower you get about 70

But I attacked a player 2 levels higher than me, but suprizingly got only 46 honor points...

did he have more or less honor than you?

I don't believe the level of the player matters. I know that in attacking a player lower level, you can not gain honor if it is at a particular amount lower. (That being added with the last update) But honor is the same for each player. This is just my belief in the matter. Any others know?

The only known rule regarding honor is that your target must have no less than 700 honor points under you for you to gain honor.

For Glory, you cannot gain glory points if you don't at least gain some Honor, unless you're defending.

why would u need to calculate honor when all you do is go to different castles an click on attack, if you dont like how much you would get move to the next castle etc etc. im more concerned about glory not honor.

Variation in levels is also a factor.

Like I said earlier, if there is a formula and it isn't just random, you can just hover over the castle/OP to decide instead if clicking on the castle, clicking on attack, to find out if you want to attack or now....

The level of the player does matter. Attacking a player with almost exactly the same as my honour (a bit more, actually), but 19 levels lower than me, would gain me 64 honour instead of 100 - what seems to have been established as the number for someone roughly the same as you.

Level and honor are the biggest factors in calculating honor:
If your target is close to your own level and has 1,000 honor while you have 1,701 honor, you won't get any honor (the differnece cannot be more than 700). But, if a level 41 person with 1200 honor attacks and defeats a player who is level 60 and has 1,000 honor, he will get about 100 honor points.

Glory:
It definitely has to do about the size differnece of the armies (I once saw a glory report with 90 glory flags and 900 soldiers on both sides with 600 casualties on the attackers side nad 900 on the defenders side give 16,000 glory!). In glory, honor, army sizes, and glory bonus tools play a huge role. However, I do believe that the glory recieved by a defender who kills 1,040 soldiers is 3,598 (or 3,958 don't remember the exact number but I do remember that that when my ally was mass attacked he killed every single soldier and got the same amount of glory every battle because all the enemy armies consisted of 1,040 soldiers)

Good, so now that that is established, anyone know what the calculation is? ;)
