OK, I think my castle is fairly good for my level. I have an outpost also. My question is, how do I get resources from my outpost to my castle? I am losing troops, due to lack of food, but I have all this food in my outpost just sitting there. What do I do? My outpost is food and stone. How to I get timber for buildings? I am so confused.

You must build a marketplace to transport resources FROM that particular castle/outpost. Therefore, if you have a market in your main but not in your OP, then you can transport resources to your outpost but not from it.
The correct resource name is "wood", not timber.
Each outpost has 2 resources you can gain from it (apart from the 2 of each from the keep). One of these is always food. Therefore, the next one is either wood or stone. To get the opposite resource, you must send resources. In an 8 food/2 stone outpost, for instance, you would need to send wood and probably some stone while you are starting off building things.

Thank you. That does explain some things to me. I do have a market at each location, but how do I transfer resources from one location to another?

use the market barrows to transport resources from outpost to your main castle. you can do this clicking on your main castle and on the left of the circle you will see resource transport click on that and then you can choose how many resources you want to transport. hope this helped
