No one here can answer you that of an accurate way, the events appear randomly, for example I haven't seen the Barterer, or the Travelling Knights in a lot of time

How long do these "soldiers" are for hire?
I mean at the moment it shows the camp is for 8 more hours, so if I donate now will those be there only for next 8 hours or more, and if more for how long?

They stay until they die, once you earn them they are yours. The time limit is for how much longer the camp is still there.
