I want to surrender my outposts, move my castle and then capture some new ones. But I'm not sure how it works. Do the buildings vanish? Can you capture it back? Do you get the troops and recources automatically sent to your main castle?

If you abandon your outposts you will lose everything in there, but that process takes 24 hours, so during that time, you can send the troops and resources back to your main castles, and no, after you demolish (abandon it) you are not able to take it back as the outpost will return to the "default" form (only a level 1 keep)
