I have now got another castle at an outpost so am trying to build it up. i cant for some reason build a stone quarry why is this?

maybe it is a outpost; 6/8 wood and 2 bread or 6/8 bread and 2 wood?

It is either 8food/2wood, 6food/2wood, 8wood/2food or 6wood/2food, therefore stone production is not possible. You will have to send stone from main castle/other outpost.

You can only build 2 resources at an outpost, they can be wood,food, or stone and food. You have to send the stone from another outpost or your main castle.
