Hi, new here. I saw this game on miniclips yesterday and started playing. Boy is it addictive. After fighting a bunch of robber barons I just finished the traveling knight quest thingy. Having all those soldiers felt awesome, until I looked at my food production
-179 per hour! ?(
Currently have 2300 food so that's about 12 hours before I run out.
My question is how can I disband some of the soldiers? Is there even an option to disband?
Is there a way to trade other resources for food. Like trade gold/wood/stone for food? There is a market building but I don't see an option to do that.
It would suck losing everything after I put so much work into this... ;(

Start attacking other castles for loot, attack higher level Robber Baron Castles so that most of your troops will die but you'll still win and get loot, or ask some high level player if you can send some men on a suicide mission to their castle.
But of course start building/upgrading your farmhouses to try and keep as many soldiers as you can.
Also ask some neighbors and friends to send you food, and hold of the suicide attacks for as long as possible.

So I take it there is no ingame market to trade for resources or a disband option.
I have been attacking the barons but most of them around me are level 5 or 4 so I only lose like 1 maceman or 2 each attack. If I attack another player I will lose the protection I have for the next 5 days. Would rather keep that while I build up. Plus, I'm surrounded by other low lvl players who are also protected.

Yes, upgrade farmhouses also. And when attacking, send defense troops out, they stink at attacking and will die.

You are able to do in-game trade for resources when the barterer comes. It's a blue colored tent and you can enter it to trade resources and coins.
But this tent only comes for a limited time and only comes from time to time. It's also rare for this tent to come, and when it does it will appear in front of your castle.
You can also get the overseer. If you need rubies go buy them :P
And if you need to upgrade your farmhouses instantly also use rubies. And if you run out of resources to upgrade farmhouses, there is a ruby purchase pack which gives you bonus resources when you buy it.
