Topic: [78100] PO/production

[-78100] made2win2 [None] :: Oct. 8, 2012, 2:38 p.m.
what has really been annoying me is the first park i ever build i got like +30 food production and i built a park the other day and only got +6 food production i have 16 farmhouses at that op so each farm house increased food production by 0.375 production for hour shouldn't the production go up equally after every park you build? i mean that make allot of sense i dont get why this happens the more public order you build the less and less production you get as a reward it doesn't make sense i'm spending 100's of thousands of resources on parks when the only give me +5 food production instead of 25-30 it just ticks me off ?(?(?(?(

The equation of public order is 100+(sqrt(PO*4)), that means it takes more and more PO to increase 1%

its still stupid that i have 16 farm houses the first park i build increases 30+ food and then the 30th park i build increases 3-6 its retarded and if its only going to increase 3-6 then they should lower the cost of the parks....

Just cause you don't understand it or dislike it doesn't make it stupid. Its called diminishing returns, a system that a lot of games have adopted in some form in order to bring a degree of balance.

If you think about what B.Stinson said, it will make sense. If what you wanted applied, how would you compete with a guy that builds tons of festival squares instead of parks?

you wouldn't be able to compete

knew there had to be a formula.

So, at :
PO = 0500, bonus = 144%
PO = 1000, bonus = 163%
PO = 2500, bonus = 200%
PO = 3907, bonus = 225% (i think the max you can get?)

k3rb3r05 i think the PO can be way higher. one can reach 225% and will exceed that :)

u mean the bonus from the PO... sure it can be way higher.... you can fill ur castle with nothing but festival squares, but won't help you much... i meant a functional castle with all his buildings and necessary guardhouses (20-23).

EDIT: read it somewhere in the forums here, that the max (for a fully functional castle) bonus from PO can be somewhere between 225% to 235%...

its still really anoying that i have payed 100-1000s of resources building PO just to find out half my PO isn't doing anything............. and then someone else telling me if me and a player with all festival sqaures got into a fight i had all parks we could not compare however if he is full of festival squares chances are he is going to have bakery level 4 and watch tower and drill ground level 2 so i would not be able to compare anyways..............

Well, it is a well established concept for the simple reason that it works. It makes the higher levelled and more dedicated players work harder for their earnings and encourages a balance between resource plants and decorations.

Ever played any other MMORPG ever? Notice how you whizz through the first few levels and then take ages to get through the higher levels? It happens with this game, as well. That's no coincidence - it's diminishing returns.

Ever noticed how in any MMORPG ever (including this one), things take longer and longer as you go along? Look at the new update - now you need to wait for an event (and probably a fairly rare one) just to upgrade to the last level of woodcutters, stone quarries, dwellings etc. That's no coincidence - it's diminishing returns.

I could probably go on (and maybe even think of a few real life examples), but I think that I've made my point.
