Topic: [78141] Why do some high level players have their outposts so far away?

[-78141] Loggan08 [None] :: Oct. 9, 2012, 1:39 a.m.
Is there a strategic benefit to this, is it just for other players to waste time trying to find the outpost?

?(what are free castle locashones what do they look like.

for the rubie players that do this is because they can attack people in that area and can still support outposts because of lvl2 watchtower or lvl1. If not this they open gate, idk why the normal players do it.

please stay on topic but if you want to know they are ruins so to do this you go to the kings market promotion move your castle and it will take you to the world map and you need to click on a ruin highlighted in red and your castle will be moved

from the espionage report, open his main and then click the globe (map) and it will open to the location where his main is. or at least it should.

i think this is a bug though...

even if main is in ruins, the link exists... at least used to

Have you tried looking the player's info? if there is a main castle ruined in the information that means the main castle is in ruins, but even if that is what is going on, that line is always connected to the main castle, unless the distance between those is too big, the game don't display the lines when that happen, for example if I send a spy at 1000 distance away, the game don't show the arrow that shows the spy is moving, you can only see it in the travel overview.

thanks for that info

that is exactly..what i do
i use the espionage report, find his castle..
that is y i know they separate with castle about 200 units while his 2 outpost a just 1 few unit away

i visit his castle and outpost
all of them have a lot of building burning

i do not see his castle goes to ruins

i just hit his outpost and collect some resource... i am sure they a not ruins

it seems to me
his castle are close to his outpost
he was defeated heavily in castle and 2 outposts

he move his castle...
but i think those 2 outpost will be dropped

i read some forum topic stating there is 24 hours confirming period in new location
so i suppose ...outpost will only drop after 24 hours ... or something else ??

just asking "is it right " or some other things ??

For me personally, I placed an outpost nearer some of the members of the alliance I belong to. Beacause we are slightly too far away from each other - it's easier to co ordinate joint attacks for honour points and to swap resources / station troops to support each other.

I guess at a much higher level it can be strategic ... I didn't want to move my main castle so it's just another option

i see where you are going with this.

no, outposts aren't 'dropped' (surrendered) automatically, no matter the distance. the player has to do it manually, through management window

it is weird though that you can't see the green line. a member in my alliance captured an op at least 400 !!!!! miles away from his main (yes, captured... dunno what he was thinking) , but the line shows just fine
