Honor do not give anything else than, well, a better position in the ranking's, it doesn't make you stronger or anything, glory for example do give rewards, but there is not a ranking with players with more glory.

Honour gives a bonus on glory.
Getting to certain honour milestones will achieve certain achievements.
Earning a certain amount of honour in a single battle will complete certain achievements.
However, your honour is factored in to whether you can earn honour and therefore glory in battles against players. So if you get your honour too high, you'll end up facing harder and harder enemies if you want glory.
