if you see an attack coming that you know you cant defend properly, use as many resources you can for building projects and send your entire army out on an attack (defenders and attackers) just before you are attacked. then make your army retreat after the attack. this way you will lose no soldiers and few resources and the attacker will receive no honor points. it only works if you are playing at the time of the attack. i did it once when three attacks were coming in at the same time and it saved my army. also, i am a level 21 and i have defeated attacks by players in the 40s, so make sure you have good defenses and tools tools tools.
Not exactly recomended for high lvl non-ruby buyers, cause then it will take AGES to clean up the flames. Also, you never know when you might win, Ive seen a 700 army defeat 1000+ army, 200 army defeat a 700 army etc. etc.

what he said,plus if your castle catches on fire,than you will need those resources to repair the damage.

Ok i understand revange and all other reasons but i can't find the real answer Why can they attack you? and why can he not attack a lower rank?

When you think about it, most of the people who join quit at about lvl 10. The higher lvls need somebody to attack, you know.

SERIOUSLY!! I never attacked anyone in a certain alliance and I am being attacked every day, sometimes more than once a day by a lvl 38. Granted, I am lvl 24 but being that I've been attacked this many times by the SAME PERSON makes this game is no longer fun. It was one of the things that made my day better and now I'm so frustrated. Why can such a high level attack me so many times? I thought that you could not attack people who are 12 levels below you. This is absolutely ridiculous.
