Well i have finally got the quest to attack the dragon prince, i have searched through the forums but i cant see any info on attacking the fortress. Ayone got any good advice?

It's the dragon in Fire Peaks, right?
I think it has a dragon breathe and a dragon claw to attack with, and they have each around 250-300 defense against melee and ranged attack. I'm not sure how many of them there are, but I think there's only 1 of each.
Do not attack the fortress unless you are sure you have a good chance about it.
P.S. if you've got the espionage report, I'd like to have it so I can save it

Attacking a Dragon fortress is kind of easy, but you need a lot of army.
You need 35 wooden mantlets in the first wave to defeat the 100 dragon fires in the middle and you will have 0 loses.
And then you have to attack only one flank and take the other one in the keep with more soldiers, for the flanks with 50 dragon claws you will need ladders and (if you can ranged soldiers), doing that I defeat the dragon with 140 losses.

Here's a Spy report.

Damn it, I lost to the Dragon losing 850+ troops! lol.
Judging by the Dragon's stats, I sent melee in the center and ranged down the sides, both with ample mantles and ladders... But I got wiped out. Lol. I'm trying to figure out what went wrong.

Lol all you need is 60 mantlets & 3 soldiers.
Put 20 mantlets & 1 archer in each side.
edit- I forgot that there are some melee troops also.

Then you use tool removal (suicide troops to remove most tools) three waves in the middle two waves on one flank (left or right doesnt matter, they are both same).
In the middle you have 28 mantlets in the fourth wave and all range troops.
on the flank you have 18 ladders and all range troops in the third AND fourth wave.
So you are sending about 260 troops. My losses are a bit over hundred. 60 on the flank and 40 in the keep.
Reward is 30000 coins and 370 rubies.
The hardest is to find dragon castles which are not already attacked by all the players around you.
DO NOT use melee troops, they will be lost in the keep.
If you find an even better way - please post here, because i am looking for it.

I do almost the same as him. I use your best ranged commander.
In the middle the first 3 waves are one guy tool ki!lers the 4th wave is all ranged 30 mantels and 10 ladders
right flank - first wave 18 ladders all ranged
2-4th wave all ranged you can put 18 ladders in the second wave but should not need it if you have elite troops and a 90 commander.
DO not do anything on the left flank
loss should be around 70-100 depending on commander and troops.

I just attack all waves and all flanks, do your spy report use a 90 ranged with at least 60 wall. follow your spy report, if you have kings troops your losses will be less than 70.
I have an rv right beside a tower in each world. Ice Sand and Fire, I traded rvs, found someone I had a close rv too and they had a rv close to a fortress and offered. Most don't even realize they can attack the fortresses through the rvs. Will be a headache lining up that rv but not impossible. Dragons otherwise are very hard to get to hit unless you are 10 to 20 clicks from it.

Oh and I can carry over 6000 troops in fire if I hit six towers at least twice a day.

Yeah I do that way with 90 ranged/100 wall commander, and lose only 50-60 every time.

Here is my setup for this one, I only had one commader left so it was only 54 percent wall, by the way there is not such thing as a 100 percent wall, game only gives you 90 percent wall no matter what your bonus says.

Coins outweight anything, I am a ruby player so I did use iron mantlets but would of only had about a ten more loss with wood.
I like the coins myself.
Remember get an rv close to it. I have three dragons I can hit within 10 clicks of a fire rv so its easy for me.
PPs dont forget your men go back to your castle after so you have to resend them to the rv again. sucks and didn't use to be this way they changed it about a year ago.
