i just experienced this issue AGAIN and what I tried was to copy the 2nd half of the text to my clipboard, then erase it, when i did that it allowed me to send the first portion of the message then i pasted the 2nd portion into another message window and it sent as well...both of them were able to be sent once the message was split around the end of the middle sentence but they were unable to be sent together as one message....UGH!

Everyone knows that there are a lot of problems with the language filter. There are other threads about it in other ways.

My problem is that today it wouldn't let me use the word idiot. Idiot is not a curse word.
I just replaced calling the idiot in question and idiot with calling them asinine.

The current filter is just annoying and from my experiences just makes me pick a synonym for the insult I'm hurling.

Hi ocspecialguy,

It doesn't need fixing in this instance. If it prevents you from using a word to insult someone, then it is clearly doing what it is supposed to.

Regards,
Malreyn

Why is calling someone asinine treated differently than calling them an idiot? That was my main point.

You do have a point... what dose asinine mean?

to me this isn't the problem. at least now they tell you which words about 95-99% of the time. it is when they don't tell you the problem word that makes me crazy... and regardless there are several ways arround this to still get your insult across if that is what you are trying to do. sometimes you are not even trying to insult the person you are talking to but rather communicate to them about someone else.

You can't put web addresses or email addresses in the messaging system you'd need to put steelforum dot yolasite dot com. That works.

Yeah it is. I think it's to stop people posting links to porn and some 10 year old looking at it. At least on the forum it can be checked by GGS.

i figured out why it was rejecting so many of my message guys!! I consistantly use the ... to go from one thought to another and apparently they think i am using the dots to makes foul words when all i would have to do to type the found words is put spaces between the letters, either way thats not important....if you type a message and it wont let u send it, look for ... and change all of them to just 1 single . and it should allow you to send it!

I've been having issues with the foul language filter that they have implemented with the in-game mailing system. For example, I've found that if I have the alliance name "Free Kingdoms" in the message, it won't let me send it. Also, it has been doing this with some of the player names as well.

If they are going to have it set up this way, could they PLEASE at least implement it so that it tells us specifically what word or string of letters it does not like so we don't have to spend so much time trying to figure out what part of the message is being rejected as "foul language." This is currently making communication via in-game mail very frustrating since it appears to be looking for every and any form of masked foul language.

Is there a list of words the US in game message system won't let me send?

I'm about to go on a deploy just as my alliance second and I are making new rules for our alliance. I've been drinking and, being a salty lad, I typed some colorful talk. I changed two words that 3rd graders don't get it trouble for using and it still won't send. Is there a list somewhere.....

No, because it is a multi language filter
