Has anyone else seen this? I collect my coins every 10 minutes and watch it count down the last few seconds to collect my money on time. My current take is 36 coins every 10 minutes, but this last time I only got credit for 7 coins. And yes, I was on time. No late penalty. I usually collect my coins and send my tax collector back out so quickly, I hardly pay attention to the numbers. But I had suspected this before, just had never been paying 100% attention like I was this time. Is this common for others?

Three guesses i think it might be:
1. Your dwellings on fire.
2. Yous demolished a dwelling or 2.
3. Its a bug.

if you are collecting 10 mins taxes then you should collect with 5 mins after it is completed inorder to receive 100% payment, then after the amount of coins slowly get decreased. Similarly for other time time periods, you should collect within the half of the time after the tax is collected

No. Anjan5 is completely correct.
If you are collecting 10 minute taxes, then you must collect taxes within 5 minutes after it runs out in order to receive 100% of your coins. After those 5 minutes, the amount you receive will slowly decrease (unless you have the tax collector bribe) until it has reached 10 minutes since you were allowed to collect taxes. Then, the amount will stay the same (I think it's 25% of what you should collect).
Similarly, for other tax collections, you must collect within 50% of the time after the tax can be collected e.g. you must collect 6 hours taxes between 6 and 9 hours after you start collecting if you want to receive the full amount without the tax collector bribe.
However, it doesn't apply here. The OP already said that they collected it in time.

as stated in my original post...I literally watched the countdown to 0 seconds as to when the coins would be available to collect. I collected them within 3 seconds of them being available to collect. Therefore there is no penalty for late collection. I did not demolish any dwellings. I do not have any buildings on fire. So it must be a bug. Very intermittent, but it has happened a few times. Curious if there is anyone else out there who this has happened to.

I already stated that it didn't reply, but Arjan5 was being treated unfairly, so I proved him/her correct.
This does seem like a minor bug. I've not experienced it, at least not to my knowledge. You might want to contact support, if you haven't already.

You should get 2 screenshots (one of the expected amount before you collect and one after when you lose money) make sure you keep the times visible also, it will help. Send them to support.
There isnt much else we can do on the forum except clarify that it is an issue, i cant say its happened to me but then again the bugs tend not to effect most people
Hope it gets resolved.

I asked myself this question... would I get more money doing the 10min rather then the 6hrs? would you know the answer? I have to wait 5hrs b4 i can figure this one out?

Obviously, the 6 hour tax gives you more, but if you collected the 10 minute one repeatedly for 6 hours then you would get tons more. This is the same concept with anything in the whole world because it rewards activity.
