Hi Empire Community,
As all of you on this thread are aware we had a serious issue with the shop servers on Saturday at the same time as the 100% prime time offer. This was caused simply because the servers were overloaded due to the high volume of traffic and obviously it was not our intention for them to crash at the start of the offer. I understand many of you are upset about the issue and i offer my apologies on behalf of Goodgame Studios.
So, what are we going to do about it? Well, i can now confirm that there will be another 100% prime time offered soon. We will not be announcing the time and date before the event (just as we do not announce any of them) but do keep your eyes open in game for it!
Regards,
Malreyn
So it seems GGS has outsmarted themselves again with another brilliant idea! They are going to release the bonus (probably at a complete different time, most likely in favor of their own local British prime time) randomly. That way all the people that were here trying to take advantage of the bonus when it came up originally will be lucky to get it the second time, and people who are oblivious and have never even seen it will get a chance at it instead. I'm sure everyone thanks you so much for your kind gesture GGS.
Now for mine. I am in the United States server (where we will most likely get screwed on this deal). I play a lot, and I'm very active but I still have to sleep sometimes. So I am offering to US players a one time deal where if this bonus pops up, I will call or text you if I'm online to let you know if you return the favor. All you gotta do is post your in game name in this thread, I will message you in game so we can trade info, and I will add you to the list of people I can call if I see this bonus. And hopefully you will do the same for me.
We all know GGS is only concerned with our best interests , but we should probably take this one into our own hands. I can call a lot of people in an hour so feel free to add yourself to my list. DONT post your number on the forum, we will exchange that info in game. Thanks!
P.S. I can only call United States and Canada, so if you're not in this area, start your own thread with your local people

Trust me BM, I agree. But they don't care what you think. So we gotta keep this thread on topic so it doesn't turn into a riot and end up getting locked. Are you in the US or Canada? :P

Ticks me off that I wasted time waiting for the server to get fixed and now I have to hope I can take advantage of it if I am lucky enough to be on. I'll just keep my cash in my pockey and play without Rubies. #Fail

TL;DR
We will release another time 100% ruby bonus
Not going to tell you when
Not going to tell you for how long
i.e. they are just going to go for the usual events/ruby bonus rotations and not do anything for their customers, not even saying that they will beef up the servers from people trying to throw cash at them.
That - my friends is how companies start failing

I'd like to defend GGS: they are doing something. 100% ruby bonuses are rare and they have added another one - they are NOT just waiting for another random one and pretending that it was a form of compensation.
Having said that, if I were GGS, I would have either:
a) Made a 100% ruby bonus that lasts for 24 hours
b) Made a 100% ruby bonus that lasts for the normal 90 minutes, but announced when it was going to take place
c) Given every single player 500 rubies - this could also count as an unofficial compensation for all the other bugs that people have suffered from: while people can get troops back, there is no compensation for bugs which don't involve missing actual items and it takes a while to even get the troops back
d) This one's slightly complicated:
They would have made another e-mail address and told players to contact them if they were online during the +100% bonus. They would have then checked to see if players were actually online and not just lying, and if they were, the player would have been awarded another +100% bonus which lasts for 24 hours.

I do agree with you - this "compensation" is just rubbish. They really are "shellfish". :P

We're not really that far off topic: you said that their compensation was rubbish (and are trying to take action to make it a bit better) and I was pointing out that there are a number of forms of compensation which would have been acceptable.

How do you know that they have added another one?
Since they don't tell you when it is, it can happen anytime from now, either tomorrow, or maybe next week or maybe next month (i.e. aprt of the normal random rotation).

Morning all,
I would like to address some of the comments from this thread directly
Firstly i have no idea where you got the British thing from. Goodgame Studios are based in Germany. Secondly, this is pure assumption on your part (im guessing why you used probably) since nobody at this stage knows when it will be. Perhaps it will be on a Saturday evening at the same time as the last one was. At the moment even we don't know when it will be since the payment servers need to be worked on to make sure they can handle the load next time. Until we know they can handle to load then there is no point in doing the offer again.
Other than the obvious issue of cautioning people against giving out any sort of personal information on line i have no problem at all with the idea of this thread.
BobFighter834 - I won't quote your post since its rather long, but all very good ideas. I will feed them back to the teams involved for consideration, but i can't promise anything will change.
We are going to be putting this matter right since we do understand the trouble and disapointment that it has caused within the community and the player base.
Regards,
Malreyn

If we didn't care about what our players think then this forum wouldn't exist.MaJeStiic wrote:But they don't care what you think.
We never announce the prime time events in advance for various reasons. As BobFighter834 correctly pointed out before we do not usually offer 100% bonuses. Even if it was something we did usually offer i can tell you that they would not be very common. The fact that we will be offering it soon should be enough to prove that we are not just sticking to the "normal" rotation.KevinQ22 wrote:We will release another time 100% ruby bonus

In what way are we selfish?! If we were selfish then then we wouldn't be offering any sort of ruby deals to start with. Many of the bugs are fixed quickly. I will admit that there are a few that have been sticking around because they are particularly hard to get rid of. I still fail to see how this has anything to do with bugs though, this is supposed to be about the ruby event.Huzaifa Memon wrote:you know why cuz they are shellfish and just want our money they fix less then half the bugs that happen like this was the first bug they fixed imediatley i mean like many of the bugs take weeks to fix!
