Topic: [77439] Hero extensions - Rubies aren't discounted.

I got a 3-month premium account. I've had it from prior the update, where the premium benefits changed. So I am getting a 5% discount on all rubies purchases. Right before a hero expires, ie architect, system sends me a message saying 'wanna extend for 10% discount?'

Out of curiosity, sometime yesterday I jot down the rubies I had on hand prior doing the extension and subtracted the 770 (855 - 10% = 770). But the system actually subtracted 855 from the account. So I thought 'ok, maybe i made a mistake'. So waited for another expiration, on another hero, and same thing happened.

Prior to getting those, I used to extend the heroes prior to them expiring (right from king's market) so I wasn't aware that something like this existed. Then about a month (or more) ago, I let one of those expire (medico) and I got the message and since then I've been letting everything get close to expiring in order to get the discount. Or thought I did.

Is it just me? Has anyone else noticed this? (tried a search using keywords, such 'discount' , 'hero' and 'extension', but nothing came up) . A bug from a recent update, or has always been this way? How long have these 'extensions' been running for?

FYI, heroes don't cost 855, they cost 1000 rubies with no discounts (majority of the heroes). With a premium account, the cost without the -10% from being a regular customer to that hero is at 950. With both bonuses in, it becomes 1000 * 0.9 (10% discount 1st) * 0.95 (premium account effect) = 855. How does a 15% discount on 1000 ever give you 770? With the calculations from above you can see you only got a 14.5% discount. There is no error with the system, it's just you were too lazy to count the numbers.

care to offer a screen shot of what u r talking about? i have never seen a hero cost 1k except maybe medico and gold overseers (but for the latter ones you don't get an about-to-expire reminder)

edit: and before you start calling names, stop and think. with a premium account, you don't see the actual value but the discounted value (5% discount - or more, depending on the length). how can i calculate their actual values but from what i am given?

855 + 5% = 855 + 42.75 = 897.75 ... so the cost of the hero is 900? nowhere near 1k as you mentioned

Why not ask a few of your non ruby friends? Oh, and why so defensive? If you're so skeptical of any answer that doesn't suit you why bother asking in the first place........

Please see regular screen shot of kings market. Where many heroes do in fact cost 999 rubies.

ok, so the 855 cost (on this example) has already factored in the 10% extension discount.

so, why am i, and others, getting this? It should have been a simple extension reminder, without offering a misleading discount.

@hcl19892 : i wasn't asking, i was stating. it's not a matter of being skeptical, it's a matter of simple math (as pointed out in the last line of my edit and you confirm this in ur screenshot)

you do know that you get the notice of the -10% when you have bought heroes which can apply the 10% off (vet overseers do not give you that) like at least 3 or 4 times in succession right? They tell you this so that you will know that they are now charging you even less from the normal. They want to make you feel enticed to renew the contract so they can get your rubies. While it can be improved by showing you the old price tag compared to the new one, it's not that hard to notice that's it costs less than before.

i wasn't aware of the 3-4 times in succession thing. it's one thing trying to make you feel enticed to extending hero's contract and another being misleading about it.

if someone wants the hero to be active, he will renew. if he doesn't, he won't.
