Topic: [77539] "You can no longer attack this castle" - After update bug

[-77539] Trules [None] :: Sept. 25, 2012, 10:40 a.m.
I decided to move my main castle to a more convenient location after this update and so far it has caused a wide range of issues for me.

While the castle is being moved I am unable to: errorme.png
In game error

Now if interaction with your main castle is supposed to do this while the castle is being relocated, then there should be a warning before you do it. The error tool-tips should also be all updated too since in all cases I am not actually attacking a castle.

I am also not the only one expeirencing this issue:

Did you? As far as I'm aware this is the only warning we were given:
Once you have chosen your new home, there is a 24-hour period where you cannot be attacked and you cannot attack others

Let us say you selected the move castle option (Ooops you have).

Then at what stage do they move your castle? They take (say for arguments sake), a photo of your castle then start to move it to your new destination.

Now, you being clever, decide to spend 20000 rubies on a new building or 3500 on a bigger army.

What are you going to say when they are not in your new castle.

Show some sense, at some time they have to move your castle. It did say 24 hours. If you do ANYTHING in the meantime - then you may lose all the changes. Use a bit of sense and wait 24 hours!!!!!!!

You didn't read anything I said did you?

If we have to assume a bug is going to occur after every new update then something is seriously wrong. It makes me wonder if they do any bug testing at all.

I think it makes sense your main castle is Isolated from any other castle while it's "moving"

It does make sense, in the fact that it would have taken a bit longer to write code that allows interaction with the castle, that also nulls combat interaction. I can understand why they just disabled interaction altogether, it would have been easier to write. Although, they should have told us that the main castle was almost useless for 24hours instead of just saying "Once you have chosen your new home, there is a 24-hour period where you cannot be attacked and you cannot attack others". Which is completely different to the issues I'm facing, it means I could have timed it at a time where I'm not using my main castle as much as I need to now.

Also all the tooltip errors I am facing are incorrect too. They need to be fixed, and I feel like this issue needs to be addressed.

Well, yes at least they could have been mention that before the update

I think they needed to remove all interaction as sending anything from/to the castle could end up with resources or troops going missing if the move happens mid journey. I guess they need the 24 hour thing to give them enough time to move the castle.

Having the same problem with one of my alliance members now.

EDIT:

Just worked out that you can send resources back from the other kingdoms even when your main is moving. At least this can help a bit with resources. You may also be able to move troops between the kingdoms too but we haven't tried that yet.

Probably they didn't know it existed. I doubt there is much alpha testing going on. How hard is to test to relocate your castle and see if u can ship out resources / troops from it? It only takes a few clicks...
