I guess you can call this a bug.
I clicked on the world map and the moment i got out, my map started scrolling nonstop to the left and it went around in a circle back to me, any ideas on why it happened?
I refreshed the page and it was fine
just wanted to share the story

I've seen this posted before. It's also a common error on google maps. Are you using firefox? And are you using a Dell computer? I beleive in the case of the google maps issue it's more common in this scenario. I used to get it a lot but don't anymore since I got a HP laptop.

I think hitting the right arrow, holding it down and then clicking left and then right again may be a quick fix.

Then again, it might just be another bug

there is the same problem with me
whenever i click the tab other than empire and get back to empire then it happens
the mouse pointer moves smoothly after that which can't be controlled
i got the latest version of adobe flash and playing GGE in firefox 15

I got a trick if you are moving right on the map you press alt 2 times then press right and you are done
