Unfortunately the wishing well is useless for the time being for players that ran out of lucky pennies or low level players newer to the game who do not have any lucky pennies. If you do not have any lucky pennies I would not recommend leveling the wishing well up. Leveling it up is not worth it anymore and especially beyond level 1 where it will cost rubies instead of resources to upgrade beyond level 1. You can not get lucky pennies anymore either as far as I am concerned despite the fact they were at one time available. It is sad, but apparently Goodgame Studios does not want people to get the lucky pennies anymore as rewards.
