Like with any other "serious" company all playerinformation is stored and encrypted at the companies database.
No one unauthorized will gain access to this information unless they hack into the database which is very difficult and very illegal.

Even if someone got access there, it's not certain they would be able to access any accounts as most companies encrypt all passwords into hash files, making them unreadable unless decrypted.

This game has existed for many years and i don't think i have ever read anything about GGE getting data breached.
Security like this is something many companies take very seriously as a database breach is far worse then a few disaster game updates or a horde of angry players.

I don't know how GGS does things. But i'm sure they do things similar to what everyone else is doing.

Let me just get to the point straight away though. The "only" way for another person to "hack" an account is by either.

1. Guessing your password:

Don't use simple passwords. Never use passwords related to family your private life.
Always use passwords that are 100% unrelated to you. Like for example: "[email protected]@2" < Funny password, but it's nowhere related to me in any way and not easily guessable.

2. Knowing your password (Maybe you told them your password. Or you told someone your password and that person told someone else without your knowledge)

Never password share. I personally do not password share and i don't promote password sharing.
Not only is it unfair to play the game like this, but your account will also constantly always be at risk.

3. Gaining access to the email associated with your game account.

Never share your account email with others. If you do or if you accidentally done this. Then make sure your email account is fully secure with a good password and everything.

4. Getting GGE support to change the email of the targeted account.

I don't know how possible this is when it comes to changing emails of others accounts. I have only changed my own email and that involved several security questions and everything. Do not share your account email and do not share any information or details of in-game purchases you've made and you should be just fine.

If you are paranoid, you can also make sure to hide your exact ruby and coin numbers from others. (There is a security question that will ask you about the exact ruby count etc...)

International 2 is a server where like 80% of the server is password sharing in one form or another. So i can see where your question is coming from.

ok, the question is, in case this hapend, and someone hack your account, can people get some support from GGE or not?
in case during hack--someone sell your equipment, your decorations, can we get account back like it was before or not?

If it did happen - they will check, and will restore.

But if you gave your PW out, and someone uses it to log on, well - you're not getting chit back.

well, i know one player who get hacked, equipment sold, decoration sold ...beter to say - account destroyed.
But GGE didn't return account how it was before, so i think they can't do it.
and i would like to hear that from someone who work in GGE....

A hacker with the skill to hack ggs server and get the password would have better things to do moat likely than go after 1 single person so most likely they either guessed the password or someone who had it did it or sold the password to others ( heard it happend a few times on int2 and other servers ) so it is highly likely that there was no hack hence why support did nothing.

The hacker himself discovered  after, because he send private mesage, this two people don't like each other, because hacker lost war and burned badly, and it was no chance that he get password, because nobody know it from players, so can't be like that ((.
Point it's hacker it's not punish, and good player, one of the best at Int2 lost account, and GGE din't do anything to help player which get big lost...
Now many good players lost wish for game total.
So many Years you build account and in one moment it's destroyed everything what u build so many Years...
I think this it's not fair....

If the "hacker" obtained your account information by breaching GGS, then you most likely would be entitled to compensation as the breach would be on GGS's side.

If the "hacker" obtained your account information by breaching you individually, then you would be at fault for not securing your own account and most likely would not be entitled to compensation.

It is recommended that you use a strong password and do not share your details with anyone else. I recommend reading the article below titled "Someone had access to my account". It describes everything you need to know about situations like these.

https://goodgamestudios.helpshift.com/a/empire/?s=your-account&f=someone-had-access-to-my-account&l=en

In the end, compensation is handled on a case by case basis and the only way to know if you qualify is to contact support at the link below. Thanks!
