That's a great question.  They didn't put any dates on the announcement, did they?

Competition Rules

Every participant is allowed to post one answer only. Two answers or more will automatically disqualify the respective participant from this competition.

We will pick a maximum of 10 participants with the correct answer as winners of this competition. The picked winners will thereby obtain 10.000 rubies each. And to top that: One of them will have the chance to obtain one of our new Throne of the Community decoration with an incredible public order of 500.

Picking the winners will be ultimately done by the jury of forum board members and will as such be valid and final.

Good luck to all of the participants!

I also enjoy the fact that the winner will be chosen by "the jury of forum board members", and not a random selection.  Anyone want to guess at the odds that IF my answer is correct, that they will pick me to win?  LOL!

Always take the good with the bad.........

It all comes down to how one interprets the swordman icons in the last line.  Let's call the swordman X and we know X=5.  So we have XX in the line.  Algebraically  that would mean X times X, not 2 times X(or X+X), or X used as a digit in a number twice(55).  As a result the correct answer would be 24, not 9(from the 2*X), or 54(from using X as a digit).

24
While you are correct in the potential ways to interpret the last line, the most likely is 2 of x.   Why?  All other functions are stated.  If it was X times X it would be listed as X*X.  They are showing a group of 2 X's, therefore 2X...…..

9
Ahh, but Wasso when one puts forth a math problem, one must use the language and rules of math.  Now me being a sneaky bastard have forced the correct answer to be mine despite whatever bs 'twist' that might be claimed to be intended.  In math, multiplication is understood when two variables are placed next to each other.  All other operators are explicitly written down.  Just trust me on this, or ask any mathematician(even though they generally only have a very thin grasp of reality).

It's just a simple game, don't make it too complicated. ;-)

Ask any kindergarten teacher. They will tell you that  is twice as much as .

No kindergarten teacher will tell you that   equals .

But, we all know that GGE math doesn't follow "the language and rules of math" and likely didn't graduate from Kindergarten.  So, it is still anyone's guess on what version of "correct" they will go with...….

Seriously?  @Poseidon X Angel  @Crom Cruach

So, what version math are we going to go with and what is the final answer?  Or do ALL of us not rate an answer?

Nothing like the small little English Forum's lack of communication...……….

[5105760] Poseidon [Moderator] :: March 13, 2020, 10:33 p.m.
Hello guys, the correct answer was 54, rewards have already been payed out.

[5105768] Wasso (INT3) [INT3] :: March 13, 2020, 11:30 p.m.
ROFL!!!!!!

You guys went with the 2 Swordsmen next to each other = 55?????  OMG! That is HILARIOUS!

But, we all know that GGE math doesn't follow "the language and rules of math" and likely didn't graduate from Kindergarten.  So, it is still anyone's guess on what version of "correct" they will go with...….

I had no idea how correct i was!  Neither following "the language and rules of math" NOR "the way of the Kindergaten Teacher".  Had to go with the 3rd option.  Too too funny!

Congrats to those who got it...…..
