I have been going all over for this answer and still I don't get it answered. How do you leave an alliance? I want to leave my alliance but I don't know how. All who answer me have the possibility of me joining your alliance.

You go to alliance at the bottom left hand side. then when you reach the bit that says the title of your alliance. The main bit basically! Then on the left hand side go down to the one which says management then press leave alliance in the middle page!

so do you keep you castle intact to join another alliance , I sometimes see ruin left in the place of other members who have left?

Yes you castle stays absolutely fine as long as you are active
