Well, depending on how old the alliance is, and what level the members are, it might not be bad

Greycats alliance is around a month old right

last night I got enough glory to be a level 2 alliance, level 5 is very low, especially for all those members

lol mine and aze's alliance had 20 members when we got onto level 5 and we only had around 7-10 active players at the time. Having loads of players dont make your alliance strong

having loads of loyal players makes you a strong alliance. I don't care about glory and it means nothing. When I was in a large alliance before I founded this one, I had very little glory, but when we went to war, I was the player who did the most attacks and looted/sabotaged the most out of all the other players in the alliance. Glory shows nothing.

my members are active and are very good players

Yep, especially if you're level 70. It's easy to get tons of glory at level 70.

Why? The alliance is only one month old. You can't make it to level 70 in only one month. The game wasn't meant to be finished in three weeks.

If you did the most attacks and looted the most in your whole alliance, then surely you would get a lot of glory???
Unless you just attack the weakest of players and their weakest castles etc. that had no troops or something, in which case it doesn't count, because the rest of your alliance was probably just trying to kill the opponents troops(so that they can't fight back) rather than just put fires
