Hi, i am the Leader of HB MilunkaFire2, and i have some promotion rules in my alliance, for example, players over 20 lvl and over 5 000 might points automatically becomes member, otherwise they must stay as a novice.. so, after this rule came in action :) i gave my members one day to level up, after that i threw under lvl 20 members out..because there is no demotion from member to novice, and i have invited them again to be novice players.. but when they agree invitation, they became members again, not novice.. why did it happened, because i invited them? or is there limit for novice players and i had full limit already? or what the hell has happened :) because i have to throw them out again.. please explain me what happened

I don't really know how the rank of novice works. I know that in my Alliance we don't have any and that if someone joins they automatically become members

Players who joins an alliance that's open for anyone to join automatically becomes novices.
Novice isn't really a rank, it's just there to separate players who joins through auto join and players who joins through invite.

Perhaps you should open your alliance and tell players to join your alliance through auto join instead of joining through invite, this way every new player who joins will start with novice.

thanks for reply both of u.. Zenzer, may be auto join alwayes makes joined player as novice, but invitation does not always makes plyaers as members, because i have invited more than 5 players, some of them became member, but others novice

if someone get the member rank will keep it forever, no matter what alliance join after, most anoying thing is that he can send mass messages.

Why did even GGE allow members to send mass mails?
I liked when only sergeants (and above) were able to send masses.

u are right Zenzer, it really seems that "novice" even not discussed as a rank..  i have not enough practice to say mass mail is wrong or right for member rank, may your members bothered u :) but i really had problems with alliance funds in previous ally, it seems, after 2 rank(above sergeant) can spend it, i think only treasurer and above it should have possibility to touch alliance resources, and only diplomat and above it should have possibility about send and confirm peace or war proposal

If your members keep mis-using the mass messaging system, just kick em out or give them a warning, being lazy and complaining ain't gonna work, and with the novice thing, as others have already mentioned, only players that join an open alliance become novices, because the game assumes they are still not verified by the leader, and once they are a member you can't demote them to novice.

I believe once someone reaches a certainly level (it might be 20) they automatically level up to "member". You don't have any choice in it. It is part of the system.
