I believe it is perfectly within my rights to be able to Bump my own Alliance Thread once per day. This Thread had not been 'Bumped' for almost a week before today, so I fail to understand the fallacy of my actions in doing so, all actions taken have been within the Forum rules and have not been superfluous.

I would hardly call Bumping a Thread once every 5 days 'constant' as you say. Even if I were doing so once every day, there certainly would be a need to do so, as I would have no issue with making my Thread more popular, as that is the point is it not? To advertise your alliance for new potential recruits.
