How do you go about getting alliances and what do they actually give you?

alliances can help you grow and support you if under attack. Plus, people with no alliance has a better chance to get attacked then somone who in an alliance. You can make your own alliance (about 100 wood/coins/stone and 375 rubies) note i said about now exactly. You can start being friends with your alliance. My current alliance; PTR Airborne, i have alot of friends, and people i would trust.
