I have just joined an alliance yesterday and all is good...
and then today I've been offered another request to join another alliance.
the new request comes from a much stronger alliance and since I'm new to the game would it be unwise to decline...?
I feel loyalty toward my current alliance but if it means that my game experience can be more effective with a stronger alliance...is it suggested that I accept the new offer?
I don't want to upset the players I'm with right now...and aslo don't want to appear to be a disloyal member to any other potential alliances.
do players change alliances very often...I don't want to make un-necessary enemies

honestly skullbone, with smaller alliances it is quite common for players to jump alliances often however once you reach the higher level alliances people tend to find an alliance they like and stay there. Me personally I've been through about 8 alliances before finding my current one and I have no intentions on leaving.
remember while having a powerful alliance is good, there are alliances that look great but have terrible organisation (there was an alliance like that on the au1 server, they grew too quickly with 1 ruby player, run by a 12yr old. they reached 65 members and crashed, now there is almost nobody left there) so you need to look for a good alliance with good people, also an alliance constantly waging wars will make it difficult to grow so an alliance with good diplomacy is a must

You may not be ready for this strong alliance that just invited you. They may constantly be in battle and that will make it difficult for you to grown into a stronger player. And what I have noticed, they'll invite again. I would stay with the alliance that is good for you now and you may outgrown it down the road - then you leave in a respectful way to join another.
But if you think you are ready for the "stronger alliance" make sure you do your research. Search the forums for them. If they have a website read it. Make sure that you understand what is required of you to join. If you have to maintain a certain level of honor or resource donations- make sure you are comfortable with obtaining them. Because you just don't get to sit protected by a strong alliance by doing nothing. You will have to pull your weight. Or you should have to.
If you think you are ready for it then do it now rather than build up a relationship with your current one and jump or grow with your current one and maybe an even stronger alliance will invite you down the road when you are a stronger player.
