I'm at 631:185 - been in a couple of alliances, but was removed for being "too high level". I generally like to focus on RBCs and leveling, not very big on protracted wars that leave everybody burning.

No you get to keep them. You will only lose outposts if someone else grabs them or you chose to abandon them.
