I think the best thing for you to do is talk to the Leaders or other long-time members of alliances. See what their approach to the game is, their philosophy, and what they want to do.

You all were beginning at one time. It may be that he could be interested. The conversation sometimes wins their interest, or maybe you are to smart to realize that. Trying is half the battle.
