We protest against GG greed and wear black flag! More and more players will quit if GG continues to widen the gap between the big rubyspenders and the common player (beyond the horizon and outer realms, having to buy timeskips etc. etc.). GG destroys the game with this policy, and we will not buy anything untill GG make some real changes!

Imagine that GGS is attempting to simulate the growing wealth gap in the real world to study the implications of this sort of phenomenon, and potentially how to deal with the disgruntled masses. Wouldn't it be funny if this sandbox game was in fact a profitable experiment in the study human behavior?

You know that nothing will change - people have protested GGS ruby-hikes for ages. Do you remember the bakery inflation? You protest and protest, then you go back to your events and shiny new upgrades. How far has this game digressed since the bakery and watchtower inflations? You should realize that the game isn't designed for you, the player. It serves other purposes. In that case, you cannot change these people. Any favorable change is superficial damage-control. Once the boycott movement loses its momentum, another level of micro-transactions will be pushed. And then GGS can observe where the breaking point was, which strategies were effective in curtailing the anger of the masses, and so on. Best thing to do is walk away from this sick experiment.

Tommy, the web operator of GGE, ha not yet enrolled in college so he isnt involved in a any type of fictional experiment as you suggest.

Well if its an experiment, then lets show them there is no money earned when enough people is saying hell no. Black flag it is, and no rubies bought for as long as it takes for me. If enough players do this, GG got to listen, or just shut the game down - but perhaps thats what they really want and try to move us over to other games they want to promote, and they are just milking us for the last drops?

I performed hundreds of experiments (not social but chemistry) before even enrolling in college.
