I am a rather new player and I have a question about how an alliance advances. I have some players that are obsessed with attacking other players and Honor to advance the alliance. My question is how much affect does your Honor rank have in the advancement of your player and the alliance in general? I prefer to run the events and quests, however I don't want to hold back My alliance and it's advancement. Which route is the best to take, is it PvP action or running the events? I have a way in mind to curb my PvP players if it is necessary. I am not asking for detailed advice, just the general direction I should take.
Thanks for the advice.

Hello Aregorn
Welcome to the game
A quick rundown of how the honor system works. Honor is one of the bonusses that has great effect on the amount of glory you can get in a battle. It's highly beneficial to have a lot of honor but this does make you a target. And not just you, but if your alliance attacks a lot of people for honor you could see a fair share of attacks coming your way too.
I would say it's best not to be hunting for honor too much if your alliance is on the weaker side.
Best regards,
Poseidon

I used to think this and hunt honour but the effect is minimal, its just base glory, same as the monument, and glory gems or glory in a commander, you will get more glory from 1 emporors banner than a maxed out monument, I used to get honour to around 2000 for a nice glory bonus but to be honest it might be worth 20k, 20k is nothing, the real issue here is ot the glory bonus, it is banners, banners have ruined the system tbh, but they make too much money on banners to ever stop them, our alliance has just given up compleatly on maxing the monument as the effect is like adding an handfull of red banners, pretty pointless, even if you had full research minstrel, and had 50% in hall of legends, had a nice glory bonus from honour points and a maxed out monument, it really is minimal, now if you never use banners it will help a little, but you aint getting anywhere in any glory event with these boosters, the banners have kinda ruined the game and the system tbh, anyone can add banners and get millions in glory, i dont see the skill tbh, its about how much you spend, nothing more, yeah building a comander, and buying extra waves and the troop ratio are some basic skills but really, its about who spends the most, hunting honour is fun, tbh its a good way to find a player who likes PVP because you wouldnt have honour if you didnt do pvp, that how i find players that like pvp, i try not to hit anyone if they have no honour as its usually a sign that they just do events..
Many players cant afford to get the banners and tools for every event so PVP is needed, you cannot ban PVP in your alliance or many will get boared and you wil struggle to keep good players IMO, many on the uk server the top ones are just 100% events and many people say there boring, PVP is dead because of the unrealisitic imballance, where one player with mead and 200k defence can hit all the lower level 70, its a bit of a joke tbh, 130 hit points in difference in the troops etc.. and a higher Hall of legends, and by that time a full array of maxed coms, lol, its not good tbh, they should lose all there honour or some kind of penalty if there not prepared to ban it, but to go back to the honour points and glory bonus, it is very minimal, very minimal, 20k glory tops per hit

I would also avoid glory gems its a wasted stat that could be somethingk use full like melee range flank or the courtyard agaisnt caslte lords, the glory stat is useless, ive tested it many times, and tbh with you this is no bull crap, i got more glroy using the comander without the glory bonus, that shows how insignificant they are,

Maybe I have not read the article properly it says you are a new player, for a new player it is key to get to the fearless title, and having high honour will help you get there a lot quicker, sorry for my outlook on the game, as a new player, having high honour points would give a good glory bonus i suppose on attacks, and it would help a lot to achieving that fearless title, but after that I would say it's not really something to focus on, I think when you get to the higher levels people try to get to the top of the honour table it's like a mini event, and you also get a weekly reward at 3am sunday evening for weekly honour points, if your in the top 5 for instence you will win 50 hororrs 50 dealthy and some rams etc.. but i used to try and stay in the top 5 at all times for honour until i got to level 70, then you will be a target for the big fish or the bullys leg 950 that like to hit the lower level 70 just to get there honour lol, the bonus helps, but not so much in events to make that much of an impact, use it to get the fearless title, and then its just a bit of fun hitting players for honour, but the higher honour they have the more you will steal from them and the more chance they will hit you back to be honest, its good fun tho, it works for standard base glory a little, but for an event the impact is so minimal. sorry if my outlook is a little negative.

Poseidon,
sorry but you wrong.
honour=base score*(all the bonuses+banners) so honour is irrellevant when you using waves with banners.
all the bonuses is honour, research tower, monuments, ally glory bonuses etc...

Aregorn,
here the answer for you:
events are boring, but you cant advance without them, sadly its just pay to win.
PvP its the only real thing ,all the juice here.
for players talking about imbalance ... play some farm game

I have sent in several support tickets. All my tier two troops have disappeared. It has effects in nobility, attacks, and events. Why can't I get a response and a resolution to the issue?

I would say for a low level alliance events are needed to progress, you need the decoration to get a higher public order to ake more food so you can hold more troops, however, having more glory in the alliance will level your alliance up, you need to level it up to level 50, this is done through glory points,
Also having more honour points will get you higher up the alliance leader boards so its important to have good might points, its also an indication of your strength, together with the honour points, but I would say someone with high honour is more likely to attack you back as its usually a sign that they engage with PvP, people with no honour points just do events, you need a ballance, focus on events but allow fair play PvP on the side, you dont want to be 100% hitting players or you will gain a bad repretation and find yourself and your alliance being attacked all the time, then it is going to be hard to compeate in events and your members wont have troops, I try and say 75% events and 25% PvP, but as a lower level player for under level 70s I would say there is more PvP involved, sadley as you get to level 70, you will find the game seems more events than PvP as everyone is tryng to level up, but Its best to have a ballance between events and PvP, just dont hit the top 20 alliances and you should be ok.
But you dont want player or members of your alliance constantly hitting if this is bringing trouble to your members, you need events to progress, get look items for more power and also decoration if you can get top 5 here and there, but I will finsish and say having high honour points will help you to get a little more glory to eventually get the fearless title and some extra bonuses with each title, but the effects in events are small, but it will help you, IMO Ive always said its a sign of a good player if they have high honour points and if they can keep good honour points, there usually the best in wars aswell, you need a ballance of both event and PvP,
Keep PvP alive
