I think you're one of the better STEEL members, I'm glad I met you! :D

If you call this war meaningless, then why fight? Why not throw aside your swords and talk to each other?
Some say this war is a personal vendetta between the two leaders. If that's the case, then why don't the members agree to stop fighting each other? With no army behind them, the two leaders will be FORCED to shake hands.

A leader is only powerful, when he has someone to lead...

Nice quote!! But I think they will not stop warring until international 1 is burning. There is to much hatred between the two, and while it is a meaningless war, I am ashamed to say this but I have to admit that this war is pretty entertaining to watch :(
I think the only way this will work (Peace) Is if bad boys members and steel members vote for know war, because the members have as much power over the leader as the leader has over the member :)

We dont mind fighting with the best Bad Boys teams (and let the noobs live in peace), I mean this is a war game afterall. Why I say I am fine with Bad Boys is because they say that they want to keep fighting until we give them one capital. We think that is rediculous so we dont give it to them and keep fighting.

Just to be clear, we only attack those teams in HW that attack us. The fight with them is because certain people disliked Habdo. There have been significant changes and now Krishnavyas in charge. Behind the scenes positions are changing. Therefore, I dont see why these few HW-teams would continue if they put action to where their words are. Recently, in the HW-forum I have only seen that the words of these leaders mean nothing.

So sure, we want to keep fighting Bad Boys (but not a match of 'who can make the most noobs quit') but there is no point with HW because there was never a problem with them to begin with. Just the ego's of leadership on both sides perhaps ;)

Your probably right that the whole war started because of personal problems between the two leaders, but even if STEEL's members wanted to stop fighting I doubt that HB (especially BB) would want to stop as easily.

The problem is that one or two good players in small/weaker branches can not protect all the other (often non-ruby) players if there are 60 relatively strong ruby players attacking them every day. If they stay they burn like the rest or if they join a better branch they can enjoy support and attack back if they want.

@Hrichi: Of course they can. It's just sad that they keep hitting non-ruby players that burn to the ground and simply stop playing this game. We sometimes advice them to leave STEEL and join a peaceful alliance until they are strong enough to fight a war at this level. I prefer them go to other alliances than to see them leave this game for good.

We did not want to play the game this way but if certain people smile because they made 100 'less good players' quit the game than thats a shame. Now we will just do the exact same thing until someone grows tired of this meaningless war.

The way you describe the smaller branches reminds me of how the Roman Empire collapsed. They over expanded so much that when they were attacked they couldn't effectively defend themselves.

Thanks :) I have fought in this war, and I did believe in the beginning that I was doing the right thing....that feeling went away pretty soon as I heard both side's reasons for war.

True, what would this game be without war? But I think it's hard to ignore the negative effects of it. Since this war has began, alliances have been broken, pacts and NAPs have shifted, SMALL PLAYERS WHO AREN'T EVEN IN EITHER ALLIANCE ARE BURNING TO THE GROUND FROM PLAYERS LOOTING AROUND THE CLOCK TO SUSTAIN THE EXTRA SOLDIERS NEEDED FOR SUCH A LARGE-SCALE WAR. I am ashamed to say, that I, myself, burned down MANY innocent players to loot for food when I fought in that war, it's nearly unavoidable when you have thousands of extra soldiers being trained and dieing on a regular basis.

Congrats on Krishnavyas becoming leader of STEEL! Any chance he will try to negotiate for peace now that Habdo isn't leader?

You are not the only one. In peace times everyone complains about lack of action so I guess we must enjoy while this lasts.

The point about leaders and members is not applicable anymore because leadership within STEEL has been reformed over the last month. However, we are moving in a positive direction but no matter who is in charge we can not start talking peace if one of the (unrealistic) demands is giving up our capitals. Thats like giving away a winning lottery ticket. In this case after the buyer thrown it on the floor, stepped on it and left it there.

If the demands are realistic, of course we are all ears. We are not unreasonable people.

So that's what it would take HB to stop the war? A capital. Why do they need another, they already have one? But you are right with conditions like that there is no way STEEL can try to get peace.

STEEL will still have one capital left though, won't they? When I was in STEEL, they had a rotation system set-up so STEEL players from all divisions to come to the ones with the capital to train Kingsguard soldiers, if this is still in-place, then maybe giving up one capital (and still having one left) isn't such a bad deal to save yourselves?

Just my opinion, if I have offended anyone, please say so and I will stop posting on this thread.

If I was STEEL that would be as bad if not worse as losing. If I were a member of STEEL and that happened I would lose a lot of respect for my leaders. Also don't worry about offending anyone; we all have a right to give our point of view.

What? Giving up a capital?
I think if I were given the chance to swallow my pride and surrender or let my members get attacked over and over again, I'd just surrender (something Sparta Romans doesn't do very easily) because my members trust in me to keep them safe.

I see your point, but others might grow disgusted and leave as that would be a major show of weakness. At least that's what I would do.

I agree. A leader often makes gambles. It's either have a chance to survive and keep your alliance going, or be stubborn and eventually go down. I think that more people are leaving because of getting attacked repeatedly then they will if STEEL surrendered.

Only time will tell. But there's a saying "if you give em an inch, they want a mile"! I wonder if BB would be satisfied with just one capital?

Hmmm...
You make a good point.
I think the forum leaves them with no choice but to be satisified with one capital. The world now knows that they only asked for "an inch", if they change their terms last minute, it will dishonour their name, and that WILL hurt because no one will want to join their alliances then.

Personally I think that their name's always been slightly tarnished. But there will always be people who will join the winning side no matter what it's reputation.

Yes, some of their teams are hotheads, I have dealt with a few of such people. But the majority of BB's members are actually quite pleasant to talk to. They too, are normal people after all, and it's unfair to judge all of BB based on a small part of their population, same with STEEL.

[1422270] Unknown :: Nov. 17, 2012, 10 p.m.
What are you guys talking about? 8|

Of course we will not give up a capital because we are simply not losing :D you read too much propaganda.

Everyone in STEEL is always welcome to recruit the ROYAL soldiers if they want to. All they have to do is message me or someone else in Elite/Mari. Our player limit is high and can be increased to 60 without a problem if needed.

Even if we were losing we would not give the capital to these people. The reason is simple. We do not believe in threatening and power abusing like Bad Boys. When N.F. left STEEL and joined KK we did not threaten to burn them to the ground until they would stop playing the game! Of course not. But that is exactly what Bad Boys did when BB Piratz wanted to leave them.

Now some people will say that STEEL has also abused power before Bad Boys was created. But mainly Bad Boys formed when Royalty split up (we were already against power abusing in Royalty) and was strengthened by the people that commonly had STEEL as enemy. However, I remember clearly helping most enemies of STEEL getting in a better position even in times of war against us. Therefore, I am dissapointed by some of the members in Bad Boys because I helped them a lot and yet get nothing in return. But that is life sometimes ^^

lol that is funny.... but the thing is i am happy this war is going on you know why?

it will end huge 30+ wing alliances from taking over the server... aslong as steel keep losing alliance which later on become independent im fine with that but if they go to sparta.... well just another huge alliance in inter 1... i have noting against sparta or anything its just... whats the point of huge alliances? to make people scared of you? to intimidate smaller players? im not scared or intimidated.... im just anoyed at how there are players who hide behind numbers

i hope this war brings an end to that abit

The point of big alliances is to offer it's members MUCH better protection and help.

Since you were part of a big alliance for a long time, I thought you'd know that.
