Topic: [101541] Outpost Tips to hep lower levels

Here are some outpost tips for lower levels who maybe aren't sure what to do and how to split armies and stuff.

1) Try to get your castle as close to your outposts as possible, and your outposts as close to each other as possible for convenient resource transport for less coins and less time.
2) What I do in my outposts in the military side of things can be subjected to argument, I however strongly believe that this is a convenient thing to do in armies: I use my main castle as a precaution for the black day-it's very weak-and I only have defenders there (any attackers I get as rewards or which I buy I transport to my 2nd outpost); my second outpost is my powerful attacking outpost with a few defenders (when there's an attack on it I station troops there from my main) and most, if not all, my attacking troops; then my other two outposts are my defence outposts, with only a few attack troops which I use for hitting easy targets. So this is what I get:
Main Castle:Defenders only,
2nd Outpost: Lots of attack troops and a few defenders,
3rd and 4th outposts: Lots of defenders with a few attackers.
3)Get two outposts with wood and only one stone one-this is a big mistake I made. Most building and tools are built using more wood than stone, so my belief is that wood is better than stone in this game.

However once you get to higher level buildings, stone gets used the most. Good tips though

u have to get 2 8:2 food:stone and 1 8:2 food:wood outposts. i would have my main full of defence but i would fill my 3 outposts of attack troops. It comes in convenience because only players can attack ur outposts and then u can attack them bak

yeah but if you used your mc and 2 ops for defence , you would be able to defend the attack than attack the person who attacked you

Thanks for the Tips! From what I gathered from my allies, various forum posts, and this discussion, going two 6(8) food/2 stone and one food/wood is the way to go. After all, it seems almost everything you do should somehow contribute to your troop/war capacity.... this is a war game.
Also, which troops to keep where also helped, though if you do keep attacker outposts it would behoove you to make sure the walls aren't manned by weak defense attack units... pretty intuitive I know, I just felt the obvious needed to be stated just in case. After all, though not due to lack of trying, I am not an undead lich (yet); I need my beauty sleep and cant always be there to transfer troops.
I got an unanswered question though: dwellings or no dwellings? The increased population would give you more taxes, but lower much needed resource production (public order). Do yall simply rely on raiding to offset that?

Right now many higher level players are demolihing dwellings and changing them to farmhouses. It sort of depends on your preferences. Would you rather have more coins or more units? Do you need farmers or high resource production? It, as I say, depends on you.

This helps when you are building castles and doing Researches, but that all eventually comes to an end. Then, forever after, you are building resource tools to loot towers, and you need a good bit more wood for that, than stone. In the final analysis, two Outposts with 8:2 Food:Wood is what you want.
