i have found a new problem to the game was wondering if any one has found a solution. when being attacked all ranged i have tried to match with all ranged and all ranged tools but have found no win to come of it. all that has to be done is to load up ruby mantlets and the walls come down. if you go mellee with wall tools to match the walls fail if all seige towers are sent as well. so there is no way to win it seems.

This game is biased towards defense.

I'm guessing your setup and your castellan are pretty bad...

rite wen u c the attack coming pick the flank tat has the least manlets and stack up all ur ranged defenders. Also if he has all the same if u have any melee stick them all up on a flank and keep as many ranged defenders in the keep as u can as then the attacker gets no bonus so u should win. Also just put the flank to one.

That's a pretty dumb strategy. "Put the flank to one" What does that mean? The correct way to defend is with 100 melee, with vet swords if you can, with wall tools.

I will assume you are not level 70, but higher than level 51.

For a level 51-69 defense, the attacker has the option of using 30 tools against you and you have 3 slots to defend with.

Without a castellan bonus
3 slots of arrows gives you 175% ranged defensive power
3 slots of bulwarks gives you 250% ranged defensive power

If the attacker uses enough mantlets to reduce this to 0, he will defeat your strategy and suffer 0 losses.

Without a castellan bonus,
3 slots rocks gives you a 155% wall bonus
3 slots of tar gives you a 200% wall bonus

If the attacker uses ladders to reduce your bonus to zero, your melee are going to get chewed up in 1-2 waves unless you have a strong moat bonus to help them. Stakes won't be enough, you will need gators.


Of course, all of what I said will need to be adjusted based on the bonuses to the commander and the castellan (but this gives you an idea of what is going on).
