This is a mini tip for low level players when you join an ally your leader is probably more experienced and other are as well so when you are planning an attack and have a doubt and want to talk in the alliance chat and clear you dont have to close the whole attack plan and waste all you had don by then jut simply see where the commander and wave section lies . there are to sections there on the above one attack planning and second the alliance chat so when you are planning an attack you may simply as any member of the ally to clear any doubts !

So the summary is that this tip would help small level players get immediate advice from the other experienced player without closing the window its for low level players the high level players know this and don't need it ..
