Hello all.

Well, after a brilliant initial attack with full tools and a nice victory, both in Honour and glory points, I received an attack in the early hours yesterday. I adapted my defence to suit the attack and the victory was inevitably mine. However, when I came home from work, I took a closer look at the report and it seems that he used a tool cleaning wave against me. I know he didn't win, but the fair-play aspect for me comes into it.

Not only that, he sent another attack this morning to my castle in ice, and did exactly the same thing, only I lost:

Please tell me your thoughts on this practice because this attack was from a level 68: Is it legal, or is it frowned upon?

Many thanks.

If it lands, it's legal. It is also quite heavily frowned upon. Many a war has been started over a single tool clean/sweep attack :)

Well, if its an attack of 30 soldiers over 4 waves, its ok

But if its 500 over 4 waves, and only one attack, then its considered fine.

Edit: Well if its an attack of 30 soldiers over 4 waves, its NOT ok.
Guys how to edit in this new forum?

tool cleaning causes wars, but I always use it during a war. you can cost an enemy thousands of rubies in tools by using it.

you're able to edit a post you made by clicking on the brown "options" symbol at the top right of your post. :)
(beside where it says the time you made your post)

In some wars, alliances specify rules that they will adhere by some of which are to not use tool cleaning attacks. Most of the time it's because players spend money on those ruby tools and are too salty to accept that they might get wasted.

If it's against an inactive player, I sometimes use tool wasters just so that I don't have to waste my own tools. Even if I hadn't tool cleaned, I would've won but it makes the attack less expensive.
