Im newbie and as the title, i don't know how to defend my castle. I always lose when being raid by other castle even i have larger number of unit. Can anyone give me some strategic or some tips?

Ranged defenders are good against ranged attackers/melee defenders are good vs melee attackers.Always have throwing rocks in slots and for lower lvs I suggest an offline set-up of 50-0-50.Also try to get at least 12 throwing rocks in EACH slot and a decent castellen

thats wrong, allways go for 0-0-100 or 100-0-0, this is because if you have 50% on one flank the attack can almost match you troop wise but if you have 100% you will have 2 or three times as many men as the attacker in terms of tools have 2slots of either throwing stones or better and 1 slot of ranged

0-0-100 or 100-0-0 is good for support, but if you know you will not get support and you will lose the in the keep go 50-0-50

That's your choice but for lower lvs I always liked to go 50-0-50 but when I reached the 20's I did 100-0-0. Put all your troops on one of the flanks, either the left or right and fill all the slots with at least 5-10 tools per slot. Save all your rubies for bakeries and if you're buying loads, you can get watchtowers and upgraded stables. Fire station is usually a waste.

Bakerys and wts at a later date, get yourself some decent wall tools from the armorer or just save them. Being your level you dont need the big ruby buildings just yet

I'd prefer you to set 50-0-50 with some important tools such as flaming arrows, hurling rocks, bodkin arrowheads and lime powder bomb.
You can get bodkin and lime often by buying these from nomads, if you play the event correctly.

Some important points
1. Upgrade all your towers to maximum level.
2. Always have a good range and melee castellen.
3. Always keep haldbider and longbowman, they are best for defending.
4. Never recruit sperman and bowman for attacking and defending purposes, you can if you have a good casteleen. Atleast 50% range and melee.
5. Always use normal ratio or the attacker may get an advantage!

5.I always found melee heavy ratios to be better but thats just me
