So, as the title says,
what do you think is the best main castle layout? Here's mine, feel free to share yours. 
I would like to see some different options. :)

Yours is solid af! I like your setup very much! But why the extra 3 granaries Isn't 12 enough? I'm not sure if the extra 3 produce that much but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Optimal food production at main is @21 Grains now with the construction yard food widgets. I put 6 of the % ones on my top grains down to the 50% production one, and the base food widgets on 15 of them, each base widget can make 200 food when maxed so you pull 1 deco and add 2 grains that can make 400 food with widgets alone.
Well, since we're giving away all the secrets, here's my MC's food production. I've never met anyone with higher, but I'm sure someone must have higher. My food increases are: vip 9, hunting lodge, food overseer and the sun flag. No beri bonus or metros (it adds an addition 1000 fd/hr or so):

15 is minimum simply cause you can get extra 3k from constructs lol

i am using this for a few years already and it works pretty decent. on ops even better but at mc it gets ruined ebcause of estate and resarch tower

I'm not a high level so does having grainary buildings mean that you can go without farmhouses? And just to say I think those fountains are meant to make it look more unique, a bit to many. I think it takes away from the fact that it's a castle and it looks like there aren't to many needed buildings. But as I said I'm only a low level so I'm probably very wrong. I mean, who am I to judge? Anyway if it works properly then it's fine. If that came out more offensive that it was supposed to then I'm sorry.

Granary are basically farmhouses with more production and more levels. They can be unlocked after level 70 and the first level gives more food production than the highest level of farmhouse.

If by fountains you mean castle gardens, the most important thing is that these are decorative items (decos) and every deco gives public order. The more public order per deco, the better. Public order increases many things like recruitment speed and resource production, but most importantly (at that level) it increases food production. High food production is necessary to keeping large armies and doing well in events and wars.

Here's a tip, or at least something I saw


right here, if you take the taverns and push them back and put the beri decor/construction crane and research tower forward so as to flip it around, you can move the construction crane next to the area where the decor tree is you can fit take the tree out and fit in another 3x3 piece

As I tend to ramble on, here is an example, one of the three x three's switched out for a construction yard for your castle
