Do you mean tool cleaners 32 soldiers sent to waste tools if yes , best idea since sliced bread , if it is to attack non war castles why would you do that
in Alliances we have specialist tool cleaners which hit just before main hit , we would not want the to put wood tools up would we .
Also GGE need the revenue generated

Team up with a friend, launch ~20 tool cleaning attacks followed by the rest of your commanders with actual attacks. All a few seconds apart. Works well, as they are out of tools by the time your real attacks hit, unless they are on and have lightning reflexes.

Tool cleaning is how you sign your own death sentence. Tool cleaning unfair attacks is acceptable in my opinion but tool cleaning fair hits is not. That's if you play honorable, of course i am not going to question your prefered style of play

This is why Americans won the Revolutionary War. The Brits had a sense of honor, that they would march in the open, not hide, etc. The Americans came along, realized how stupid that was, then promptly exploited it and won the war. Sorry to any Brits that I just ticked off.detedudu (INT2) said:Tool cleaning is how you sign your own death sentence. America lost Vietnam because of idiot politicians who wanted to get re-elected.Chewbacca (AU1) said:We lost the Vietnam war for the same reason, the Brits lost the Revolution lolhge (US1) said:This is why Americans won the Revolutionary War. Launching minimum size attacks at people to waste their defense tools. Or setting your castle with troops on all walls, but only leaving like 3 troops in the castle, thereby wasting the other guy's attack tools. Considered to be a legitimate form of warfare by many, but considered cowardly and dishonourable by some.player590114860 (ASIA1) said:What is toolburning?

Attacking players trying to control the set up of a defensive player is a far greater problem in my view. You can spy the set up prior to the attack, you can spy the set up during the attack, you can recall your attack if you don't like the set up. So you pretty much know the risk. You take a risk everytime you attack an actual player and given most attacks or on inactive players these days anyway to avoid PVP if you spied and sent anyway its your fault for sending. If you don't want to risk a set up you don't like then don't send and stick to NPC's. The defender has the right to choose whatever set up they like that was the rule that came first. This idea that attackers are cost more money or inconvenienced when their attacks do so much damage the cost a small fortune in time or rubies or resources for the defending player to repair and recover from is the worst form of hypocrisy and a clear effort at control.
