I think it is fair to say that a lot of people are unhappy with how crap the latest load of invaders have been.
The original models were based on a snapshot of a real players defence.
therefore they were set up to be able to defend a strong attack, with lots of men occurring regularly as pvp was common.
As events have become all the more popular, pvp demand has decreased massively, so many players, especially lower lvl players (concerning for lvl 69 and below) have either not learnt or don't bother to learn how to defend, therefore filling their castle with attackers and little defence.
Therefore when we spy, the report shows us the snapshot of their defence, set up knowing that the chances of a pvp is very very slim. This has a knock on effect, as tools are just slammed on, resulting in a random load of bonuses, some being unusually high, or disproportionate.
This has annoyed many players as they are getting crap castles to hit, so struggling to get glory, but are having to use roughly the same amount of tools as before.
FOR LESS REWARD
this could be that GGE have put in so many events that indirectly they have effected other events, and so it costs players more tools, which for those who buy costs more money out of your hard earned docket.

Hate to tell you, but FL's actually got weaker after the non active players complained about the attack strength, and back then, the FL's attacked the same person up to 5 times per event, all with good setups, but eventually, you were forced to lose. And their defenses were pretty impressive, nearly every hit capable of giving you over 100K glory if done correctly. But sadly. they won't undo that terrible change because they WANT glory to be hard to get now. I mean, unless you're a ruby whale, anyway.

i remember when they first came in, you had a good mix of crap and good castles to hit, and the attacks from them were varied too.

They have not been based on Real Players for a very long time.
There is NO snapshot being used from the other server.
This IS what GGS thinks is best for GGE. It is basically set for the Monthly Events. 500 troop castles can give the 10k Glory for maxed points without excessive troop loss. The desire to get Max Glory, is what WE want...... not what GGS wants for us.

and the kingdom resources you loot is rather poor as well. and even if you used many horsetails on a 3k+ fc/bc castle you don't always get the 100k+ glory even with 5 waves and a decent 90/90 commander

Just GGE out to make more money, weaker castles = more flags etc to obtain glory !! Not rocket science on their behalf !!

the weaker players did complain a lot, and gge changed it, thus effecting those who found them fine to start with

i see the bug where the spy report becomes outdated and unenviable is still here.
