I believe its time for the normal, casual, have a life outside GGE and things like food to spend all their money on, players to take charge of this game and enjoy it instead of being under foot of what I call thugs. Actually I like to refer to them as DTC’s for Dishonorable Thug Cheaters. I do not mean in all cases. There are Thugs proud to Be thugs, they are honorable cause they do not try to fool you into thinking they are anything but thugs, it’s the way they play, and I have respect for that. There are Thugs that are also dishonorable, meaning they are thugs, but they try to justify their actions with the lamest of excuses and often have to create the rules of their play on the fly, so they can maintain that their play is honorable, and then there are the Actual DTC’s They are Thugs, but rewrite their rules of fair game play to appear honorable, and they uses every cheat in the book. Bots, Multi accounts, Shell alliances, and Password sharing. The thugs will always be around, and the dishonorable thugs will always be around (they are the easiest to spot because they have no honor in their game play so they farm honor to keep their honor ranking high. And I fear that cheaters thanks to the careful mis management of GGE will be ruling the game for a long time. It appears that GGE feels that keeping honest players honest is good enough and letting cheaters cheat, and even if they catch them letting them keep their ill gotton gains is a good way of keeping the cash flow coming I guess.
But the fact remains, GGE has spent the better part of the last year, Building PVE content, and polishing the mechanics and interface of the game to make it more pleasing. Yet with all that building it has only played into the DTC’s hands, because now folks are out there gathering resources and troops, from PVE events, and becoming juicier targets for the Thugs and cheaters. Especially the DTC’s
The sad truth folks learn quickly in this game, especially those in small alliances, it takes a long time to gather the resources, and recruit the troops to do the PVE content, and it takes just one small group of DTC’s to create a weeks worth of putting out fires, recruiting new defenders, and waiting on resources to rebuild your castle, only to have another DTC show up to cause it all again. Resulting in far to many fed up castles across the map.
I have a build which has been rigorously tested by a group whom I will not mention by name, lets just call them the large green reptiles that live in slimy waters Alliance. By far the worst DTC’s I have run into in this game in the three years I have been playing.
I would like to share it with as many fed up like minded individuals as possible. It will not require you to move your alliance or even convince everyone in your alliance to join in, it will not require you to join another alliance, just to change the way you look at and value things in the game and then play accordingly. While at the same time, after your ready, band in together for the common good against some of the worse offenders. Please get ahold of me in game US1 to hear me out. Especially if your finding that this game has to many thugs in it to be worth playing but you would like to play if possible. And/ or your also finding that you need to be away from the game sometime too and dread logging in to see what kind of mess some thug has make of your castles, or alliance.

Thank you for that post, was most helpful. Unless of course it was just a way to get that billboard of a signature out there so you could get some attention. If that's the case I suggest you rent a billboard in your neighborhood so all your neighbors can see how awesome you are, they clearly do not appreciate you enough and give you enough attention.

Hey hey, no reason to get snippy, anyone could make that mistake, I mean this guy has more alts than chunky peanut butter has nuts, and this guys play style, which reminds me of a funny story, never mind I will tell it later, anyway this guys play style, and your player name.... well.... I just connected the dots.
I will offer my ideas and build here , as sending out little very limited in size messages to everyone in game is just not a good way of dealing with this information, I just do not have the time or staff to deal with it. I will offer the concept and reasoning for my build and if it fits your needs, or even part of it fits your needs great. If there is enough folks agreeing with this at the time that is right, someone can organize a decent resistance to band all like minded individuals together and become a force to deal with in the cases of severe thug abuse.
I started this build after an alliance I had grown up in, developed a bad case of thugitous. I had already come to see by that time that there was a pattern, tested and honed, by some of the best thugs in the game. They would start war by doing a few slightly shady things, by members who were either so called new members, or training alliances, or just young and inexperienced. Or pick on someone or small alliance just enough to make someone mad, then they would farm them for a few days. Pillaging and plundering and brining in their main alliance to deal with them. Problem with pillaging and plundering is at some point you have to stop, so the poor targets can rebuild and stock back up, put out the fires and replace the troops, or the pillaging starts to be not worth the effort. Of course the best way is to get the poor target to tell the thugs how wonderful their big bad alliance was, how skilled their members and especially their leadership is, and beg them to stop. That way the thugs can show how honorable they are and agree to peace, and maybe a little tribute if the targets are real saps.
My old alliance was still playing the old way, showing strength, in putting up a fight, being careful not to insult the thugs, and begging for mercy, long before it would finally come. Then one day, during a severe cast of thugitous the leader and many members snapped. And within a week, many had all rage quit, including the leader and those left were left to try to fend for themselves. Eventually there was nothing left worth holding together and another alliance, was gone from the game.
However some of the members that I had played with for quite some time, heard out my plan and we tweaked this build. It is very different, and not easily to grab on to, and while I loved working on it, I am not a real social person, and building a huge alliance and resistance movement is not my thing. But I am going to offer what I come up with and they here and allow folks interested to do with it as they see fit.
Ok I know I over explain, sorry, but it is what it is. But ferret out any or all that pertains to your consideration.
Four things that thugs thrive off regardless if they are honorable, or not and cheaters or not. Glory, Honor, Resources and Attention or fame.
So one at a time, how I attempt to combat them.
Honor) I never attack other players castles, in short, those I would want to attack, have a huge alliance and can put 10s of thousands of defenders on any attack in must less time than I can get there. And those who are attacking me, are farming, and will strip any honor I have, eventually anyway, the sheer numbers they can send against me means eventually I will fall, and about the time that happens, along comes some Honor farmer to pick up the bulk of it, after his alts, and buddies has done all the grunt work. So honor is easy, it means nothing in the game anyway, so don’t really need it. They cant take what I don’t have.
Glory) This is easier to combat than one would think, I don’t use defenders, I use villagers, they respawn every attack, and are always ready for the next one. They give no honor to speak of. If I have troops on the base, they are attack troops and in the stronghold. I also do not keep tools on the walls, and make sure that there is at least a few villagers on every wall so I can take out as many tools as possible from the attacker. Now if I happen to be online when an attack comes in, I might put out a few tools and any odd defenders I have laying around, if someone is sending a particularly badly set up at me, but if it’s a good attack, I log off or go do other things, let my villagers take care of them. The only time the attacker is going to get any decent glory from attacking you is if he sets up really bad and I take out a bunch of his attackers, and in that case, its his attackers that giving him the glory. There is something very satisfying about watching an attack coming in, full tools, and glory flags out the wazzoo, knowing that they are going to be hitting nothing but 200 or 300 villagers defending. They get maybe 100 glory multiplied by all those wasted glory flags.
Resourses) This one I wrestled with, and ended up going full bore secure storage. It take up a lot of room, but one thing the thugs I have dealt with have in common, they all keep massive amounts of both attack troops and defense troops. So when they are farming they can overwhelm small alliances, but still defend against any feeble attacks the farmed alliance might send out. Now while its easy to upgrade and keep wood and stone levels down, food always seems to be topped out. And food is the one thing the thugs need to keep their troops from deserting. So in the end, I gave up room for decorations for production bonus, and cut back on resource buildings, till I found the mix that provides my needs to continue to upgrade what I need and maintain full food. With not having to feed defenders, I need enough food to feed what attack troops I am keeping, for events I when I feel like doing them, and striking out at my attackers, if I end up having to deal with them long term. I also keep fire cast on all my mains, so they do less damage, and have to work so much harder to break into my production, however, the goal is fire management, not fire prevention, even at 100% on fire, I can maintain the troops and continue to upgrade, and since I am keeping all the resources I am producing and farming with full secure storage, resources are never a problem, I keep tons of time skips on hand, never use them so if I need to put out a few fires in a few key buildings to do something I have them.
Fame-attention) The occasional glory hit, or shady lady hit comes in, and in all cases, I understand that that is part of the game, while I keep auto war on, so I can see who is attacking members of my alliance and how often I always send out a peace treaty for 0 trib if its obviously a one time hit for glory, However there are times I get a fire commander hit, or multiple attacks and this is when I realize I am dealing with a bunch of farmers, or just plain thugs. Often this resolves itself, if they bother to read their battle reports, they are getting no glory, no honor and no resources, and are just wasting tools and troops they will move on to greener pastures. But if they choose instead to turn it into a full blown war, there is lots that can be done, but that is not for this thread.
Finally other aspects of this build. I can play this game just fine with only the 4 main castles, one in each land. I can farm all day in the outer lands, and do events all day on green if I so desire, occasionally dodging an incoming attack with some careful timing . If I am really busy on green and have a lot of attack troops I may need to hide a few away only to recall them when I am using them, but not really a big deal, for the most part I only need what my Stronghold will hold.
RVs, I have no use for them, that’s great for big alliance who want to rule the world, and need lots of resources to feed countless troops etc. If some point in time I decide I want to become a pvp king, or build an alliance to rule them all, it is very easy after I have done the events, farmed up and upgraded the commander and castellan sets, to make a few adjustments in my castles to gear up for ruling the world. Then I can go get the rvs I want, especially from the thugs that thought I was gonna be their farm.
Op’s now this was the hardest for me to wrap my head around, But the realization that if your dealing with a bunch of thugs, eventually they will come after your ops, and eventually they will get them, and when they do they will stack them with defenders till they take it away. I have had new ops with little more than a keep, captured, only to find when I logged on that there was 30,000 defenders sitting there that had to be beat down. So my decision is that OP’s were only tools to support your mains. I build them with just enough resources to build tools, and troops, when I need them, and supplement my mains with resources when they get full. I can build one up in a few hours to accomplish this. I sure won’t put ruby buildings on them, I figure if GGE wants to let folks take them from me, no reason for me to give my money to GGE to place the buildings.
This build allows me to build up my gear, and my mains without costing me a fortune in ruby sales. And while I do believe in supporting GGE by buying a few rubies, it is to make my life easier, for upgrading buildings and other tasks, faster I can’t get easily by playing the game, I can then play the game to upgrade my gear, and rest of my castles. This also allows me to do all this, while not having to worry about a thug with a massive credit card, and ego and alts, password sharing, and shell alliance full of alts to come in and dictate how and when I can play the game.
Finally as an added bonus, I can log in and play when I want, and, and do all the other things in life, without having to worry about what kind of mess some thug outfit is going to make while I am gone.
In closing, well for the time being anyway! This is not about pvp versus pve it is about the ability to use pve to develop a good pvp build and eventually being able to compete or join those big alliances that are doing all the pvp if you so choose. While I do encourage, supporting GGE, as I do not expect them to provide and maintain a game for nothing. For sometime now, this game and most others as well, has been about the little guy providing the entertainment for the wallet warriors. -and- sadly even worse, many of the wallet warriors have discovered that their wallet is not big enough for their appetite. So they have resorted to using bots, multis, sharing passwords, and shell accounts filled with alts to satisfy their bloated appetite for Fame and power. Even tho GGE has place rules against cheaters, it appears their appetite for sales, has resulted in their inability to combat, or even make a serious effort to combat cheaters, and when they do catch them, their policy seems to be pretend that they are serious about tackling the cheating epidemic, with a wink, and a real good scolding.
This is a long game, can go on for years, but if you find that your play is a repetition of putting out fires, trying to get and use resourses, and building troops before some smuck comes in and starts the repetition all over again, this might just work for you. If enough folks use a version of this play and band together we can level the playing field considerably.
Sorry if there is a lot here, but I have been working on this for a long time, and this game has gotten worse in many ways during that time, I am just hoping that it helps folks enjoy the game more, and stick around a little longer, as I am not ready to throw in the towel.
Good luck with it i guess.

I would not expect you to take the time to read it, a wonderful forum troll like yourself, there are so many other places in the forum that need your pearls of wisdom!! In fact I probably have more thought, work and effort in this thread than you do in your 1335 posts!
I don't come visit the forums as I used to and some people have noticed that.

You brought this upon yourself, stop crying to forums because you messed up.
Anyways, I will not waste more of my time to reply to your thread.

I am ok with you not replying any more to this thread, you were not adding anything anyway except a heck of a lot of room being taken up by your signature. As far as the "this" that I had a choice to stop, I assure you while your alliance could be the Poster Child for a stop the DTC's campaign. And are the reason I chose to post the above information incase there were others tired of the tactics. You were nothing special. An alliance of 64 members attacking an alliance of 6, 36 times in the first 23 hours after you did a glory hit that triggered autowar. Thats not special, over 420 times in the next 6 weeks, all after telling me you were gonna run me out of the game, that's not special, that's stupid, I mean after you used up the overflow of food GGE likes to send to keep their big boys happy when they screw up, which was in what, 4 days, You got no glory, no honor, and no resourses, By the third week,(yeah took them three weeks and over 200 attacks) you were not even causing any new fires, yet 3 more weeks, of loosing ruby tools, and a few troops especially in brilliant attacks like the one I posted above, plus the time and gold to send them, That's just stupid. If you didn't have bots, and alts and shell alliances full of alts, maybe you would have played more of the game and noticed how stupid it was. No kudos for you, your just another Dishonorable cheating thug alliance group, Getting away with it, because GGE does not bother to enforce their own rules to save their game.
Also, there are no imaginary rules about hitting someone repeatedly so get over yourself Zeps.

Thank you for that, and clearly this thread is not about any imaginary rules, it is about those who remain in small alliances, and not spending tons of money, to survive and band together to deal with those who choose to play that way. my little playa buddy seems to feel that he needed to not add to the topic of this thread, but troll the thread instead. I was just stating their actions that finally brought me to spend so much time in getting this idea out there. Was there something about the actual topic and purpose of this thread that you wanted to add??
I do believe it is my right to work on a way to counter big thug alliances, and share it with others in hopes that a group of like minded players could group together to deal folks who believe it is their right to attack whomever whenever and however long they want. The forums seems to be the place to do it, but so far, one person has come to the thread and told me that they wont read it, and tolled me, one has come to wish me good in a snide way, and you have come here and completely missed 95% of the purpose of the thread, to instead join in on trolling me and the other troll.
