How much fire damage is dealt after a successful attack on a player castle?
Modifiers for this I am aware of include commander bonuses, castellan reductions, and fire station reduction which I assume are all a flat, additive % damage. Other modifiers that are vague and I would like answers about include the bonuses from pyromaniacs, veteran pyromaniacs, looting capacity or amount looted, and perhaps a base value from victory alone. I suspect looting capacity or amount actually looted plays a role in the formula because the pyromaniacs description says "Inflicts heavier damage damage on enemy buildings when looting" and the veteran says "Causes extreme damage to enemy buildings when looting, implying that they go hand-in-hand.
The purpose behind this topic is to find the formula behind the amount of fire damage dealt to an enemy castle after a victory. It will help to safely capture outposts without reducing any buildings to rubble by applying 100% fire damage to every structure in the outpost before capture. By 'safely' I mean by adding up all fire damage dealt to the outpost until it equals [the number of buildings] * 100% damage.

Empire hasn't/won't ever reveal how some functions work. Somthing as simple as how they calculate battle losses during a battle is secretive to them.
Just remember to have full vet horrow armies, or better yet, pirate armies and you'll burn everything.

Is the graphic dependent on the % burn? I assume it's the same appearance between 1% and 100%.
So in your experience massive, strong armies tend to burn a lot more than wimpy ones? I haven't encountered pirate troops yet, do they have a description similar to pyromaniacs that they burn or loot more?CaptainBro (US1) said:Just remember to have full vet horrow armies, or better yet, pirate armies and you'll burn everything.
