In the next month I will have enough gold pieces to build a relic bakery in my castle.I have also saved consturction and upgrade tokens to update it to its max level.Currently I am lvl 191(legendary level 121) should I be concerned about anything regarding the relic bakery?Do I need to unlock it by doing research or am I too small level to fully upgrade it?

I am pretty sure you should be able to just fully upgrade it. My Alliance has won them twice in the BTH event. I don't really find them extremely useful. I am still trying to decide if I am placing a level 3 bakery and storage in a castle at all. I might do it when I get a district setup for them.ImperialGuard (US1) said:In the next month I will have enough gold pieces to build a relic bakery in my castle.I have also saved consturction and upgrade tokens to update it to its max level.Currently I am lvl 191(legendary level 121) should I be concerned about anything regarding the relic bakery?Do I need to unlock it by doing research or am I too small level to fully upgrade it?
But, you should be good to go on upgrades. Just keep in mind Mead Unlocks are just around the corner. But, I'd imagine you're not a buyer and would need the extra food production the bakery provides. But, mead also takes up a lot of tokens so keep that in mind.

The relic bakery is probably the best item, it doesn't produce food as the comment above says, it will reduce your food consumption by 25%, that's a big difference, it will let you hold more troops, than getting a district will do, the space saving from the district replaced with decoration, wouldn't match the extra troops a level 5 relic bakery would achieve, you are not around the corner from mead, you are level 121, the relic bakery is the best item you could possible get right now.
You will need 1000 construction and 5000 upgrade tokens to max it completely, 2 sessions in the outer realms with no spend, just coming top 8000 will get those tokens,
You do not need research, you can just get it for 175k gold pieces, and then upgrade it with no restrictions, the bakery and relic bakery only reduce food not mead consumption, you will need a mead distillery to do that, however, you are many many levels and sceats away from ever getting the distillery and mead troops, so the relic bakery is your best purchase,
I too am currently saving to get this item, contemplating weather to try top 50 in BTH, but with going to work I think it is impossible to do, and you would need to be spending a lot of money, getting top 50 alliance is more costly than getting top 400 individual, as you will need a heavy capital, and probably levelling it up to level 70 to hold off the relic incoming's, I don't think it is worth it tbh, getting individual and winning fabric is a much better way to spend in BTH, unless your alliance is lucky enough to have a great capital holder and someone who is prepared to burn £50 pluss,,,, but you could be trying many times and poring a lot of money away to achieve this with no guarantee.
Get the relic bakery first before the districts, don't get the relic storage, it's a waste of time, space and gold, get the relic bakery and level it up, 25% off food consumption, could make a big difference,
a castle making 100k food, with a level 5 relic bakery
roughly 6,6000 extra vet hororrs or roughly 11,000 extra vet flame barers

My suggestion is not to get too hung up on the relic bakery and certainly not for all castles. Believe me once you get ramped up making mead troops you will want to do away with all your food troops therefore rendering your relic bakery useless. Sure, get one in main and maybe one op so you can feed those gold horrors nobody really wants once they have several hundred thousand mead troops to cater for. Maybe even in outers which will inevitably be where you send your food defenders you win so at some point.
For a new player who isn't a ruby player then sure a relic bakery is a great alternative to building a bakery with rubies, but you will need relic tokens for SO many other more important things like your barracks, breweries, barrel workshops, honey gardens, apiaries, keep, districts and so on and so on. You can never have too many relic tokens so don't be in a rush to spend them - use wisely or you'll slow your progress down hugely when you run out. (and as a tip, DON'T go maxing out your relic greenhouses and conservatories - certainly not the conservatories, and definitely hang fire on upgrading your apiaries from level 1 as the benefit to token cost makes it not worth doing whilst you have other more important upgrades to do first)

get relic bakery in as many castles as you can, at level 121, your 529 levels away from even begining mead infrastructure, and I can only say a good 1300 pluss sceats away too, and thats only to start the basic mead infrastructure, dont worry about upgrade tokens, you can get 500 construction and 2200 upgrade token in every outer realms for 10 minuets work, all you need is top 9000, tokens are not an issue,ImperialGuard (US1) said:I am only putting a relic bakery in my main .Osiris (GB1) said:My suggestion is not to get too hung up on the relic bakery and certainly not for all castles. So were talking a year easily (average player) before you can even start the mead journey, pluss at first your production will be so low, maybe have 3000 mead troops, to get the hundreds of thousands of mead troops without lying is going to take you a long along time, were talking years not months,
The relic bakery is the best item, and you will be using hororrs and deathlies for a long time, even when you start mead, untill you have brewerys leveld up and barrel workshops and all these wonderfull things, were talking a year pluss. maybe 2 or more.
It will help you a lot with defending as well, 100k food production in a castle, if you add a level 5 relic bakery gives you an extra 11,000 vet flames and comp bowmen, or 6,600 vet hororrs and deathlies, to have mead infrastructure in all castles, leveld up brewerys etc will take you forever and a day, I wouldnt even be thinking about mead yet, pluss the surface area of the relic bakery size is very small for a building, it's no drama and doesn't get in the way.
hit outers twice, buy the relic bakery level it up to level 5 instantly, use time skips, and save for the next one.
