Food is an issue. You win troops and want to feed them. The rule of thumb for all buildings is that beyond 10% of production is a waste. Build down to 23% or 13% farmhouses. Wood and stone as you need probably 23%. If you build mantel for attacks then you will use more wood than stone. Also max your storehouse and the Keep. Be sure to have a Four Mill and Bakery. The Keep increases production of all things. Four mill increase production of food. Bakery reduces what soldiers eat. Soldiers eat food. people do not. Try not to starve troops. If you have too many move them to an Outpost if you can, or one of the kingdoms. All else fails trash them, but try not to starve them. Starve troops go to the hospital where you can recover them. But the hospital has limited space. Do not use ruby to heal soldiers - it is a waste of rubies. Don't worry if you won them once you will win them again. In the hospital is a funnel click that to stop ruby soldiers from entering and taking up space.
Keep in mind you can run negative on food, but you need sleep, so trash some so you don't run out of food for 10 hours or so. attack robber barons to get more food. (Nomads and samurai if you are in the events) Under the horses Change the focus from "ALL" to focus "FOOD" to increase food from battles
