Your outposts should have the same, if not more, defenders than your main castle because they can be taken, and because if they are weakly defended, people might attack to get resources or honor/glory because the outposts give the same honor/glory as your main castle.u should have just defenders in ur main castle and attaers in ur outpostes

ok first for those of you that are doing the op idea i would recommend to have 1k-2k defenders at each op and if you cant get all food ops otherwise your screwed and the attackers at op are scerewed most of the time either your main or a food op is the one getting hit i personally like to keep 1500 at one op but thats just me and i am paranoid and get kgs if you can they are sweet

I prefer the stationing at an alliance members castle. Sending out baron attacks takes a lot of time if you have a lot of troops as you can only attack with a certain amount (unless you start building one baron up a long way away).
Here's what I would do to protect my attacking army.
1. Work out how long you're planning to be offline, let's say 12 hours.
2. Subtract 1 hour from that time. Then divide by two. 12 hours -1 hour is 11 hours, divided by 2 is 5.5 hours.
3. Find an alliance member who is 5.5 hours travel time from your castle, then send them as support for 1 hour. They can only be killed for that one hour (if someone attacks your alliance member) over a twelve hour period.

The best way to do this is support one of your alliance members who are under the bird.
There us is no way they will ever die. I do this whenever I log off.
