Go to to that outpost, click the box on the right bottom of the screen that says Economy. Then, click on the management (1st from the top Icon that looks like a chair), and finally look for something that says abandon outpost and click it. After that wait a day and it will be gone. Still, I would say that to be successful later in the game the outpost you own right now is help full. Wait, and strugle for some time, but later you will be on the top with a lot of soldiers.

The sparkling ones are the super outposts they have resources in 8:2 ratio instead of normal outposts which have resources in 6:2 ratio.

it also isn't fair that some player have robber barons nearly next to thier castle... but becsuse players are placed randomly there is really nothing to do...

I say it is better to get an 8 food/wood outpost first and then 8food/stone outpost second and then 8food/stone third, but that is just my opinion. Many would say getting 8wood/food would be as first, 8stone/food would be better second and 8 food/stone would be better first.

What does it mean when an outpost says "occupation time 1 day"?

I suggest you keep the food outpost to have a larger army...it'll help more then resources

it takes a day(24 hours) until you get full control of a outpost.

You will need to abandon it. You do this by looking in Management and clicking on the castle's picture/name. Then you will find an option to abandon the outpost. Later you can capture a different outpost to your liking. To make sure you want that outpost, mouse over it and is will tell you what type it is.i am a newbe and after i put an outpost i realised it porduced more food and less wood i want to change to an outpost that gives me plenty of wood. Some people are placed near shiny outposts. Some people are placed near robber barons. Some people are placed near other people. If anything, I should be the one complaining - the only thing I got was 2 robber barons near me. Apart from one level 60, there's no-one near me for 10 miles and the level 60 has the only shiny food outpost (I need food because I am a high level) that I can see.
If you really don't like it, start again from level 1 in a different world.

ratio 8:2 6:2 what is the 2
Both are occupancy rates. They both correspond to the occupancy rate of a certain resource. For instance, a 6:2 wood/food outpost would have an occupancy rate of 6 for wood, and an occupancy rate of 2 for food.
I can explain occupancy rate in more detail, but basically, it's the number of resource plants you can have before they start becoming less effective. In an 8:2 food/stone outpost, after you build the 3rd stone quarry, it produces less resources than normal.
