To train yourself to fight others. To gain resources without attacking strong opponents. To complete a given mission.

Biggest reasons for me is coins. If you do it right, you can get a whole lot of coins out of them, more than you can with just tax collecting. You'll also get some good experience that will come in handy when you attack real players, and your odds of getting the travelling knights will be better since you'll have higher level RBCs to attack.

No. Robber baron castles attack you from any level. I have had attacks from a level 1 baron. Its attack is based solely on your level, NOT its level.

i dont attack robber barons a lot. One thing i learned that if you keep your robber barons a low level, its easier to get relic pieces. Ive done it, to get 11 pieces i only hit 15 times. 4 of them were high levels, but most of them were level 1's and 3's.

on higher level you can get more rubies and gold out of one attack. I love to attack them. Also in the sand world. Much more gold and rubies!

That's not right, the higher the level of the RBC the greater the chance of getting a piece of relic/treasure map piece. You just got lucky!
